Just be prepared to pay the expensive price. This place was suggested by a friend who is a local.

As for the cafe, there wasn’t much available for pastries and the sitting area was large. However, it was dark and the atmosphere was uninviting. So I’m giving this 5-stars for the coffee but 4-stars for the overall cafe and price. Would I go back? Yes.

I'm not a coffee snob, or even a coffee dilettante, so my opinion on coffee quality should be taken with a grain of salt. I usually only drink coffee for the caffeine. Even so, this is the first place I've ever visited where I drank the coffee and actually enjoyed it. They have a rotating selection from around the world and each one has real, unique flavor. The staff are also very laid back and friendly and nobody chases you out of there if you camp out on your laptop to work or study. They usually have cool music playing with the LP cover standing up behind the front counter. Always an interesting mix of people. Yes, this place costs more than Dutch Brothers, but if you're in a rush and want a quick drink, this isn't the spot for you anyway.

The absolute best coffee in downtown Boise in my opinion. The rotating roasts are always great. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is simple but also not generic.

Slow by Slow is one of the best cafes in town. They sling a mean cup of coffee with a smile, a combination that is much appreciated in this city. I moved here from Portland and when I have friends in town from Oregon Slow by Slow is a shop I’ll gladly take them to, knowing that we’ll get a cup of coffee that won’t disappoint. For me Slow by Slow is a great place for snagging a cup of coffee and sitting out on the sidewalk on a sunny day, or wandering around downtown with a little liquid comfort in your hand.

Excellent pour overs!!! One of the best coffee shops around! The excellence isn’t limited to coffee alone, they also make a mean chai and the croissants are incredible. The staff are knowledgeable and competent as well.

Friendly staff, Quality Espresso and pour over coffee from rotating roasters. They maintain 4 flavors including two unique flavors (Thyme and Clove) and 2 traditional flavors, vanilla and "old fashioned". They have a knowledgeable staff that is willing to help those who are not as knowledgeable about coffee find the right one for them.
Worth a shot for milk drink people as well as the coffee drinker.

It's great to find a specialty coffee spot in town that has taken all the right steps to brew some excellent coffee. Really amazed to see someone brewing Heart, Ritual and Parlor coffee here in Boise. Slow by Slow is leagues beyond other cafes in Boise and sets the bar very high for new specialty cafes that will be soon to follow.

Stopped by here while passing through Boise for a quick pick-me up. Hands down one of the best chai lattes I’ve had in a long time. One hundred percent will stop by the next time I’m in town.

I love Slow by Slow though I do not get to go there nearly enough. I love their pourovers, their cortado is a special treat, and their lattes are as delicious as they are lovely. They have great coffee and a wonderful atmosphere, and they put their hearts into what they do. Boise is lucky to have them!

This little gem of a coffee shop is a must for sure. The coffee was not only pretty but super delicious. The customer service was top notch we will definitely come back in the future.
