Island Lava Java Waikōloa

While staying at the Paniolo Greens area, we found ourselves coming to this for breakfast regularly. The staff was great and our food and drinks were served quickly. We loved using the app to order our food and pay. The food and drinks were very good!

It used to be really good when I went 4 years back, but their menu has changed now and does not have a lot of food options. No pancakes, no French toast, no sandwiches. But if you can choose from what they've got on their menu then it's a nice place to have breakfast. Outside seating under a tree with a lot of birds chirping

We went for breakfast after visiting the beach we married at. Good service. Easy to use QR code menu, ordering, and payment.
Food was good also. Since we are here for a few more days we will be back.

Service was fantastic, the ladies here were so friendly and attentive. Food was full of flavour. The tacos were amazing. Worth going for a quick brekkie or brunch

Upon arrival send one person inside to put your name on a wait list; I haven't waited more than 10 minutes so far... but it is worth the wait.

Good coffee + friendly efficient wait staff + a couple of magicians in the kitchen = the best breakfast experience(s) I've had on the Big Island all week!

Waipio Stack Breakfast; tried this on Sunday. The flavors really work together in this dish! If I were a local, this could be my regular order.

Luau Omelet is thick with well seasoned pulled pork, cut up pineapple, cheese, and a little cup of chopped peppers and onions for garnish; Delicious. Crispy bacon was crisp and not a hint of burn, rustic potatoes disappeared very quickly (I'm not sure if I liked them, I may have to come back and order them again to make sure 😉).

Go Island Style Pancake(s); I ordered one pancake to try with breakfast just to see if my partner would like them. Big fluffy pancake, chopped mac nuts, sliced banana; it doesn't need syrup, but if you're into that sort of thing, try the coconut syrup, yummy.

We will definitely be back.

Excellent service, great food, reasonable prices. The app ordering system makes the ordering and payment procedure fast and convenient. Limited tabls but not a long wait. The eggs benedict with croissant was an interesting delicious twist.

This location was super close to our AirBnB so we had decided to swing by for breakfast before our day started. It did not disappoint! Their acai bowl was my favourite!

Great little local breakfast nook. Staff was very welcoming and food is delicious. Convenient way to order using QR code is a nice addition.

I’m only giving 1 star because the fresh orange/pineapple juice was good and the waitress was nice. Other than that, I wish we wouldn’t have wasted a 25 minute drive to this place (although the views there were breathtaking). Firstly, the pancakes tasted like it was just a horrible mix of flour and water. It was wayyyy to dense and had no fluffiness at all! Secondly, the potatoes were cold and tasted like they had been sitting for a while. Salt, pepper nor ketchup could make it taste good. Thirdly, there’s no type of organization when waiting for a table. They’ll tell you to sit on the bench and wait until your name is called, but it’s a hot mess. And the flies 🙄. Be prepared for that if you sit outside, which will most likely happen because there’s barely any seating inside. Long story short, find somewhere else.
