Maude's Cafe

I called on 11/4/21 at approximately 7:48am. Phone rang several times. It was answered and placed on the counter. No hello hold please or nothing. I think this is very poor customer service and rude. They never came back to the phone so I hung up after 8 minutes. DO BETTER!!! Also the price varies from day to day with some of the food items like the sausage egg and cheese wrap.....how can this be!!!

Went in and bought 2 wraps and 2 cups of coffee for $35 which is a outrageous. My girlfriend asked for her tortilla for the wrap on the side. The cashier shook her head disrespectfully and made a big stink about it. While we were waiting we heard her complaining in the back that it was like a chipotle. Haven’t experienced somebody be this rude when we pay $10 for a wrap the size of a can of coke. Won’t be going back.

I would have given them 5 stars but I usually go to coffee shops to study and work. If this is what you're looking for Maude's is not the place for you because they blast out (admittedly interesting) punk music which they refuse to turn down. No amount of good coffee, friendly staff or cozy vibes can make up for that.

I had to start going to Panera instead which is a choice I loathe since I'd much rather support a local business. If I ever receive word that they've worked this problem out I'll switch back in a heartbeat.

My family and I had just left my dads funeral and decided to sit and have coffee. This place was nearby. Lady taking our order was rude and abrupt. We pulled a couple extra tables together so the 10 of us could sit together away from other patrons. We all got our coffee and had been sitting for about 5 minutes when an employee came out and said, "you have to put those tables back, we had them that way for social distancing." We tried to explain where we had just come from and we were family. The employee rudly told us to put the tables back. Sadly we felt unwelcome and just left.

Atmosphere is great! Plenty of tables and space to study/hang out with friends. Nice outdoor seating as well. Unfortunately, many of the people that work there are quite rude (mainly the females). They make you feel like you are inconveniencing them when you are ordering/asking questions about the menu items. Coffee is lacking compared to other coffee shops, but desserts are yummy! This would be a great place to go if the staff was a bit friendlier - what a shame.

This small shop in downtown has never given me bad service. Good coffee, a relaxed open seating area, and tasty and healthy options to eat and drink make Maudes a hidden gem downtown. My sister has a lot of food allergies and the staff was more than accommodating and patient in letting her find a selection she could safely eat. I will be coming back here for sure.

Moved recently to the area, one of the first places I went. The coffee is great and the staff is very friendly. They are great at reccomending cool places in town as well. Have board games to play which is really nice, have great hours too! The iced maudes is great! Be sure to try it you won't be disappointed. Also have amazing breakfast sandwiches made very very fresh :) good large cookies!!!!

One of those local coffee shops where staff care more about getting you your cup of coffee than putting a smile on your face. Which flies for a lot of people!

Consistent coffee. But, more importantly, consistent atmosphere. Always a great place to study and sip caffeine. Just be sure you're not taking up space for too long, or your at least paying for more coffee.

Terrible customer service. One of the baristas was gossiping with people in line about customers who were still in the store. She was talking about intentionally overcharging them because she didn’t like them and then pointed at the customers in front of everyone. Also the coffee was meh at best. Go to Starbucks instead.

I like this place for coffee but for I think for a cafe the sandwiches should be ultimate. The veg BLT was lacking in fixings to charge $8. The environment needs a tune up. Turn up the A/C, make the restrooms presentable, and soften the noise from the access doors.
