It was great to pop in here. It's bustling with conversation and you see a great mixture of regulars and people passing through. The coffee is great and the staff is kind and helpful. One batista explained that their lavender syrup is made in house and that is probably why their honey lavender latte tastes a bit better than most coffee spots.
Bonus points for a great waffle

Cute little cafe. The staff was friendly, the food was good. Good views from the front table. We had the quiche, breakfast burrito and hot chocolate. The salsa with the burrito was nice, not too hot but a little kick. Good size portions. Would recommend.

On a tip from Melanie, at the Durango Downtown Ambassador kiosk, we visited Hermosa Cafe for a coffee & snack. The food options in the cooler were pretty well picked through so we went with a Roasted Veggie sandwich. Coffee’s were tasty, and certainly on the stronger side. Staff was friendly. The neighboring shop had live music playing outside and he was AWESOME; very mellow and talented. It was the cherry on top of our morning here in Durango. Sadly, we are posting a one star deduction as the staff somehow forgot to make our sandwich and after 20 minutes we went in to check on it. About 10 minutes later it came out. We weren’t in a hurry so it wasn’t a big deal. All in all good visit.

The food had a great flavor, but they kept forgetting our order, and we ended up waiting one hour just for an avocado toast and a veggie sandwich.
Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
They are also pet friendly.

The latte was good. We were the only ones ordering, I got the golden egg. The food took about 15min and was just a piece of toast with cold ham and cold "poached" egg. The toasts sounded so exciting, but I was greatly disappointed.

Delicious avocado toast and blueberry goat cheese toast, as well as the lavender matcha and the rose latte. Would highly recommend for breakfast/brunch!

The atmosphere is wonderful, great coffee shop with the most delicious menu. Best quiche ever along with delicious scones and muffins. Some were even gluten free and no one would have known the difference!

We had high hopes for as this place as it was really cute. They were busy which is no problem as we own a restaurant ourselves and understand. The taller gal behind the counter making the drinks was lovely and apologetic that our latte took a bit long. The real issue I have is the other girl with the sunflower earrings behind the counter’s attitude. When I asked where our sandwiches were (keeping in mind we had been sitting there for almost 40 minutes) she looked at me annoyed and said with a blank stare, “they’re coming”. No one had communicated with us and this was the second time we politely asked within the time frame we had sat there. No smile, no customer service, and no consideration from this girl. She then proceeded to take a bite from a sandwich right in front of me while standing behind the counter. It wasn’t a surprise to watch her continue on without immediately washing her hands as the blatant health code violations weren’t a priority for her. Needless to say as a restaurant owner and a customer I am beyond disappointed. Added an extra star because the other taller gal behind the counter was so lovely.

I love this place so much, my favorite place in town. Such a great place to come and relax for a few hours and hang out with friends. The coffee and baked goods are so good, and they have a great bar. Highly recommend this spot if you are near Durango!

French toast chai latte was delicious! Quiche, Golden Egg and breakfast croissant sandwich were all yummy!
Cinnamon roll and blueberry scone was just ok.
