Hermosa Cafe

The customer experience here is next level good, Lucia the owner is so kind and always takes care of my wife and I and her other customers. We wake up and crave the coffee and cinnamon rolls and in the evenings enjoy drinks on the patio!

Must stop spot for any craving!

Best coffee in town!!! Their latte is super good and I love their Pacific brand oat milk... Their chai is really good as well. Their latte and chai are definitely worse trying!!
They changed their coffee beans to Rocky Mountain Roastery and it makes really good espresso for latte... Taste similar to previous beans but just even better!!
I’ve been going to this place since I moved into Durango... Their food and pastry are good as well...

$12 hotdogs are so bad that my friend moved out of town after she ate one. but the spicy salmon roll offered on Sunday’s from 2-4 pm keeps me in town.

We had breakfast here two different days of our vacation. Their quiche breakfasts are great. So is the coffee.

Just visited this location for the first time. Ordered a nitro cold brew, thinking it was a safe bet. It’s my usual order elsewhere.

Took one sip and considered spitting it out. Extremely sour taste, making me question if something was wrong with it, or perhaps contaminated. It also had a pretty bitter ending note as if the beans were burnt. Not exactly sure how they’d get those flavors at opposite ends of the spectrum. Person with me tasted it also and commented it was similar in flavor to when they tried reusing beans, though I can’t comment on that. Ended up tossing it.

I’m sure with their current ratings that the rest of the menu should be fine but I’d strongly suggest to stay away from the nitro or at least order it with heavy milk and sugar to mellow it out.

I never get very good service, I like the atmosphere and there's generally a place to sit if my favorite coffee shop is too busy. The staff appears to be very distracted or maybe overwhelmed every time I go in.

Great quiche and other eats, and the coffee is pretty tasty, but I'm surprised the Americano costs over $4.

Edit: it appears the price on an americano has been reduced to $3.75.

The drinks are always really tasty but they do take a long time. I waited about 30 minutes for 2 drinks.

Four words; "swiss cheese mushroom scone" that's all it took to hook me to this WONDERFUL café! Along with a chic atmosphere, Hermosa Cafe is a hidden gem in downtown Durango!

The staff is not very friendly. Ordered experience coffee drink for here and got in a good old foam cup. When I told the staff she just say, oh sorry. Not the service I would expect at a high end coffee roasters location.
