It was good. My husband thought the duck was among the best he's tasted, and that is a big deal. I thought the food was good. It wasn't the absolute best. The service was a bit slow at the beginning. We were 30 minutes early for our reservation at 5:30, and the restaurant opens at 5:30. We were the first ones there. But others who just showed up were seated very quickly, while we were told to wait. So we waited. Then others showed up and were seated right away again. I also did not know that the reservation was for outdoor seating, so I made the mistake of asking to sit inside. And that took another good amount of time. I was frustrated. Little details or lack thereof annoy me. Other than that, it was fine.

Definitely a great place for Brunch in LA. We went there on a Wednesday at about 10 and it was no problem to get a table. The food is really delicious and the atmosphere is great.

Extremely overhyped place.
Popular due to vibe amongst young adults. You have to order ahead and get your own table. Horrible for busy weekends especially if you come as a group. Food is below average.
Food - 2/5 - some of the pastries we ordered were either a hit or miss. The food, breakfast plater and shakshuka were below average. The standard breakfast platter was okay; the thick bacon was good but there was nothing special about it. The shakshuka lacked key flavors and was the typical shakshuka/tomato sauce dish. Drinks were good; fresh OJ was great.
Service - came here for Easter Sunday and it was crowded. Line was long, around 20 min, and people were being yelled at to close the door when coming in. People taking the order don’t have the best service nor attitude, maybe from the hectic schedule, but it doesn’t entice visitors to look forward to their food. Worst part is getting your own table on a busy day in a crowded space. The vibe is chill but can get loud. You have to order ahead, pay, and find your seat with a number. Service is slow due to staff shortage. Since there is no waiter service, it’s hard to ask for things when needed or get a refill. Very inconvenient.
Price - 2/5 - pastry and drink price is a little over average based on portion. Food is overpriced, especially since there’s nothing special, portion is average if not below and there’s no order service. You have to pay a tip when you place the order at the beginning since it’s a order before you get a seat.
Accessibility - 1/5 no parking, $10 valet or metered street parking. Can’t park in the residential area as it is permits only
Cleanliness - 3/5 due to staff shortage and first come first basis, tables don’t get wiped down until asked (during the weekend). Restroom - N/A
Vibe - 3/5 - for the price of a restaurant, you’d expect to be seated but it’s a first come first serve basis and you have to chase down tables or stand in a busy, tight space and wait for a table to open. Extremely inconvenient.
big indoor space and good covered outdoor space that is dog friendly.

Favorites Brunch:Croque Madame, Shakshouka, and Potato Pancakes.
Favorites pastries: Brioche, Fruit Danish and Honey cake.
It is an amazing cafe with a lot of options for brunch and pastries. There is a long line for ordering, but the service is fast, and it doesn't get a long time to order and sit.

Review for their pastries, mainly. I am obsessed with pastries and couldn’t resist trying most of their menu! Here’s what I tried, in order of preference:
Out of the sweet pastries, you have to try these:
- Lime and passion fruit tart: Excellent tartness and flavors with a very tasty crust!
- Creme brûlée bomboloni: super popular for a good reason
- Berry crostata: Loved the custard in this. I saved this for the next day and the pastry was still crispy
- Kouign amann: If you love croissants, you’ll love this!
- Vanilla canele: Perfect for those who love the burnt sugar taste with a hint of rum
The following sweet pastries were good, but I probably will skip next time:
- Raspberry kouign amann
- Milk chocolate almond croissant: I think a darker chocolate would’ve been a better fit here. Too sweet
- Lemon poppyseed calamansi twinkie
I enjoyed all the savory pastries (even more so than sweet) and recommend all of them!
- Curry beef hand pie: This was the best thing I ordered!! Stuffed to the brim with filling, this was SO good
- Montadito: Awesome sesame mini baguette with Brie and great ham
- Savory danish: Loved this as well! The cheese and tomato topping was delicious
- Plain & Ham and cheese croissants: Excellent croissants
Don’t recommend:
- Seasonal donut: I tried their coconut ube donut and this was nothing special.
We also ordered their mushroom toast which was delicious. I also recommend their green juice, which you can see them making it fresh!
Try to get their before 9 AM if you don’t want to wait >30 min in line.

If you love baked goods, this is the spot. Yes, it's a tad expensive but you won't find something similar to this in Los Angeles. Street parking may be hard to find. They have valet parking available. Great spot for a date night or a Sunday brunch.

Great place for breakfast/brunch. Not so busy on weekday mornings. Ordered kimchi fried rice, avocado toast and mushroom toast. Really good!

My favorite brunch place in LA, I always make sure to swing by to get pastries or eat here whenever I am in town. You know its good when you see the line of people outside.
You order and then you sit yourself, there is a wait staff sometimes to sit you. I am not sure if they take reservation but I never made any, I usually just walk in and take a chance.
There is a valet parking beside it, I think it was $10.

Went for brunch. The food is very good. The service, however, was as very bad. Especially given the prices and that they expect you to tip st least 20%. We got our food but had to wait 16 minutes for utensils and water. Had to ask 3 times for them. Asked for sugar that never came. Ended up getting our own to go box. The whole numbered cup system makes no sense for a local as big as this.

Real Score is 4.5-4.8
But Overall a Great Experience.
Ambiance is great although the area where we got sat could use a little more lighting. was kind of hard to see the menu without using phone light.
BLUE FIN TUNA TARTARE - really good
DUNGENESS CRAB - salad also good
CAMPANELLE - good pasta. although the sauce was a little on the lighter side.
APPLE TART - tart was done great recommended.
DARK CHOCOLATE MOELLEUX - Lava cake.
