Beautiful cafe with an absolutely gorgeous interior. There is always a line out the door for the pastries and the hot brunch foods were great and delicious. The pastries and cakes were abundant and you’d have to make several well worth trips back to try them all.

Brunch at République is always the best — a must for both locals and visitors. The line can be long at times, finding seating can be a little chaotic, and the food and service can be quite slow, but it’ll definitely be worth it! The vibes and food are amazing.
The mushroom toast has a wild blend of textures and flavors. To complement a crunchy, crispy toast, fluffy and light scrambled eggs are delicately placed on top. The mushroom toast was flavorful and very rich.
The avocado toast was also very good and lighter than the mushroom toast. I love how it wasn’t just plain avocado, and the balance of the seasonings were just right.
The cheesecake was the perfect way to end the meal. The basque cheesecake was so rich, creamy and delicate at the same time. The brown butter oatmeal raisin cookie was also so good. I highly recommend the pastries and desserts!

My favorite brunch spot in L.A. so far. The food was of an amazing quality, the bread and the pastries were some of the best I’ve ever had. The quality of the ingredients is noticeably very high, and the combinations give the food a perfect balance of flavors.

Pretty impressive and tasty menu. Don't get intimidated by the long line. It moves quickly and it's open seating in a pretty sizeable restaurant. Don't forget to get pastries and other desserts to take back as you're unlikely to have room for that after the mains.

Known for their brunch but great at dinner too. The food is great and our sommelier recommended one of the most interesting reds I’ve ever had (it was great value as well). Baguette with pan drippings is one of the best bread dishes I’ve had in years and the cauliflower is amazing. The short rib was good but nothing special however the black cod more than made up for it. Obviously with their prowess in baked goods their dessert was killer with the star of the show being the Kaiserschmarrn. Glad I finally got around to having dinner here!

Amazing brunch spot! The food was great, the service was fantastic and best of all they had valet that was cheap (IMO). Such a great experience that we went back and stood in line to buy the cookbook, hopefully our creations come out equally delicious!

Worth visiting! Checked out on a Sunday around 12pm, peak busy time. Line went by quickly, around 20 min and once inside you moved quickly. Most if not all pastries were still avail - we settled on a simple chocolate croissant. Fantastically done.
Also ordered the croque madame (11/10 so good wow) and quiche of the day. Moderately priced tbh. Self seating after you order at counter. Plenty of beautiful seating inside under the skylight and patio seating in back that’s dog friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

The food is amazing and the portions are just right. The price is decent for the quality of food you get. The customer service is superb. I would highly recommend to put a reservation and do valet parking to avoid looking for street parking.

What makes this location so special it’s history, built in the 1920s by Charlie Chaplin and has been beautifully preserved & restored since. The experience is like traveling through time while enjoying breakfast and sipping on your latte - this restaurant feels magical. I love bringing friends and family who have never been and it never fails to amaze!

We had this place on our list for years after seeing it included in many LA must try lists and we finally made our way down for dinner and we just felt the entire experience was underwhelming, especially when you factor in the prices. The ambiance is amazing, it is a beautiful space and nothing can take that away but nothing else about the experience stood out as better than “ok”. The service was fine, the pacing of the courses was terrible. The first three things we ordered came in such quick succession the runners were reorganizing our plates to make it fit, very rushed, and then we waited about 30 minutes for the main. Our server was nice but it is not the level of service I’m used to when paying $150+ per person. I’ll list the items we ordered and they all have the same comment of being okay, in my opinion everything was under seasoned to an extent and could really use some salt: potato beignets, baguette with butter, truffle risotto, Liberty duck, fries. The strawberry tiramisu was fun, and the banana drink was very good. Overall I wouldn’t return for dinner at $150 per person, there is way better food in LA. If you have your heart set on going to see what the hype is it is a decent experience so it may be worth trying. We might try the cafe for breakfast at some point to see if the baked goods are as good as they look.
