Met a friend here for lunch and loved everything about it. The fact that they offered valet made me so happy as parking in LA is not one of my favorite parts of visiting. I ordered the house made ginger ale which was strong but I liked it a lot once the ice melted a bit to mellow it out. For my entree I got the BLT benedict. Delicious! Highly recommend. I tried my husband's green juice and that was also really good. We sat outside but the inside of the building is quite picturesque. A nice spot. Would come back to try more things from the menu.

I have been to their brunch previously and had a good experience so I wanted to try their dinner service and was very glad that I did so. It is definitely more casual and fair in price compared to other restaurants close by and think that some other reviewer‘s are mixing it up with more fine dining establishments based on some of their comments. I have always had a great experience here and the food is delicious for breakfast and for dinner. It’s a very well-known place so it can get busy but that also adds to the charm since inside it’s really open with tall ceilings. Parking can get tricky in that area depending on day and time but I have always been able to find neighborhood parking within a few blocks at very worst.

We started off the meal with the Santa Barbara Spot Prawns and they were delicious. The brown Normandy butter and the lemon mixed really well and made a really nice sauce for it. Next we followed up with the Munak Ranch Heirloom Tomatoes and that was perhaps my favorite dish of the night. It was extremely fresh and only slightly acidic and tasted like I was eating a bite of spring in winter. Next came the Sweet Corn Agnolotti and it was a small portion but it went very fast. I don’t usually order corn dishes so this was a nice change for me. For the entrée I chose the Tare-Grilled Short Rib and it was 4/5. I prefer my short ribs to be more tender and this one was a bit more dense than I like but still I ate every bit of it.

Overall a great experience and I would suggest to anyone. I would not suggest it as a birthday, anniversary, or important work dinner because it’s not really designed for that. But for a date, dinner with friends or family, or a casual work dinner it would be perfect.

I love this place wonderful, well thought out, presentable meals. The food is always delicious, and there is always an excellent selection. I particularly enjoy the variety with the bakery and all the delicious pastries. The desserts are outstanding. I loved the cheesecake, and the dulce was amazing.

Hands-down one of the best brunch places in LA!! My boyfriend and I were here for 8 day trip and we came back a second time before we went home because it was just THAT good!! Everything is absolutely delicious and I would definitely come back to try their other menu items.

Note: It is self seating during brunch. The pastries are also delicious and they do sell out fast so if you want to try them make sure you pre-order or early

Run don't walk. Came here for dinner and everything is beyond good and the staff is super professional, organized and proactive. The quality and the prep of the food is 5 star. The entrees and desserts will be having you coming back for more. Had a nice convo with Walter Manse (the Owner) and he was very approachable and we had a good interaction. Def visit here when you're on the west side.

Chocolate and salted caramel cake was the best item I tried along with a glass of milk.

The rest of the meal had too many acidic components for my liking.

The short rib sandwich description did not say it contained horseradish. They put waaaaay too much and it overpowered everything else.

The steak frites are okay.
Fries didn't seem too fresh.

Overall it was okay. My co-worker and I both agreed to give this place another chance because we may have not come at the right time and they were out of almost all the pastries.

Suuuuper good place, understandable that so many people rave about it. The queue/waiting time depends on the moment, during the hour we were there at some points it was super full and other times no queue — so it’s just luck!

Beautiful inside dining area. On the food, we loved the pastries. We felt they need a better system to order once you’ve already placed your first order and sat down (such as for a second coffee).

Also, important that the people at the cashier listen carefully to what people want, they wanted to go so fast that they misunderstood some of the things we wanted. But overall, would definitely come back.

Very very popular spot for dine in breakfast and take out bake goods. Both forms the same line and moves quickly and lots of seatings inside. We have been back for 2 straight days and found parking in the residential public street parking behind the restaurant. Menu item changes often and bake goods are just a plenty to choose from and almost freaking out for feeling we are holding the line (fickle minded beware). Food is well prepared and service is fast and efficient. Apparently lots of pre-ordered pies pick up for Thanks Giving !!

Highly recommended !!

This is a review for the brunch experience: to preface, we went during the week because if you go on a Saturday, you WILL wait forever in a line. You have to wait in a line to order at the front, and then you go and seat yourself with the number they give you and your server will find you with your food. It’s a cute concept. To start: the aesthetic is lovely. We ordered the baguette with butter and jam…100% recommend. I could eat that all day every day. Which is dangerous, because I live nearby lol. Next, I ordered the fresh toast which was thick, large (couldn’t finish) but SO good. Seriously, so fluffy and delicious. I ordered a side of bacon, which was like a thick slab and that’s not my vibe, so I probably won’t do that again. My mom ordered a cappuccino which was good, but too tiny for her standards lol. She also ordered the frittata, and was excellent. We still have to come back for dinner as we heard that’s quite good as well. OH AND we bought some shortbread cookies to take home: yes. I can’t wait to go back and grab some other pastries & get myself another baguette. Maybe even some butter to have at home?

Very crowded with a wait before ordering and another wait for open table space. A midweek, late morning lunch with a friend. The food was good and the kimchi fried rice was the best of three dishes ordered. Would I eat here again? Maybe for dinner.
