Overpriced BIG-TIME. Then again it's all about: what the market will bare. A small 12oz coffee should not cost $3.60. The cashier was friendly and not stuck-up so that's a plus.

This place will probably not serve satisfactory coffee for the most hardcore coffee fanatics, but it definitely has some excellent brew for the regular coffee-drinker. The flavors in the drip coffee here are bold, but not so bold as to be off-putting for all but the most seasoned connoisseurs. The roast here tends to be fairly dark for drip coffee, with just a tad of acidity for great balance.

There is also a great selection of decaf coffees, which, ironically, are single origin while the caffeinated ones seem to be blends. The cream that's used here also seems to have a very smooth taste. My personal go-to drink at this place is an iced Colombia (decaf) with cream.

Coffee beans from here are $18 per pound, and I am on my second bag of their Colombia currently.

Stood in line 10 mins, 6 deep. It took that long for 2 people to order at 1 register so I left. Lots of people making coffee - not sure for who?

Great pour over coffee shop! Unique blends with great flavor profiles. I especially like the Jacobs dark. Let them mix your cream and sugar: great frothy warm milk tops the glass off nicely.

Miss Philz Coffee soOOO much. Glad I had a weekend to get away. Nice mini vacay with friends in San Diego. And having that daily dose of Philz Coffee was my icing on the cake!
Wish there was a Philz Coffee in Manteca, as I would never miss a day of getting my coffee from them 😘

Great coffee , takes coffee to a new level. Friendly staff and nice sitting area to chill… phil clean the windows , nothing worse than dirty windows in the San Diego sun!

This is strictly pour over coffee. Made one cup at a time. It's very good. They have oat milk which I prefer. Lots of students so it can sometimes be difficult to find a seat. Always busy when I've gone.

Really rude service here, we were brushed off by the cashier. I don’t recommend walking up without ordering ahead of time as the will not take new orders until all preorders have been completed. Gives off that elitist coffee shop feel, hopefully they can sustain business with poor customer service and good coffee!

Great menu, friendly staff, and reliable wifi. This Philz location continues the great experiences I've had with Philz across California. Even though it's in a shopping mall area, it became my go-to spot while visiting for business. Definitely worth your coffee run... and especially if you need to do some WiFi Warrior Work from a café. Lots of seats, strong WiFi, and a supportive staff and patrons that will make you feel welcome!

Just discovered Philz Coffee La Jolla and I absolutely loved it!! Delicious made to order pour over coffee with customized blends from around the world!! My only issue is the location. Parking is extremely difficult during peak hours and seats inside Philz is inadequate for the amount of people that want to sit and enjoy their coffee there
