Convenient location. Knowledgeable staff. I reserved bikes in advance, but even walking up the process was super easy. We ended up having an issue with one of the bikes but they quickly swapped it out and we were on our way again. They have great directions and helped us map a route. We arrived early to watch the sunrise and then grabbed a coffee and bagel at the shop while we waited for them to open. It was perfect. I would absolutely rent from them again. Such a great way to see the Grand Canyon. Can cover a lot more ground than walking the rim.

The staff was courteous and helpful. We got onto our E-bikes quickly and were on our way. I highly recommend renting E-bikes from Bright Angel Bikes. We were able to bike all the way to Hermits Rest. It was about 23 miles round trip. Renting the bikes allowed us to go at our own pace and we had less crowds to deal with. Such gorgeous views. Only shuttle buses and handicap approved vehicles are allowed on the road. We really didn't encounter much traffic at all. I would highly recommend the E-bikes for this adventure.

We had a wonderful experience with Bright Angel bikes during our recent trip to the Grand Canyon. To maximize our time, we opted for the Hermit Road Shuttle which allowed us an easy ride with amazing views of the canyon. It was easy to reserve online prior to our arrival and everyone we worked with, was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend a snack from the cafe as they have an assortment of sandwiches, bagels and treats to enjoy before you ride. However, you need to arrive early for your check in if you want to eat because lines can be long.

Took friends to the Grand Canyon as part of a 7 day Arizona vacation. This was absolutely the best way to see the canyon.... Away from the crowds at your own pace. 4 of us rented bikes for half day and explored on our own..... Loved the freedom, the ability to see much more than on foot, and just absorb the splendor of where we were. The staff were super friendly and efficient, full of suggestions and welcoming. I'd recommend this for anyone visiting the Canyon!!! 👍

we LOVED our bicycle experience at the grand canyon. the staff was very accommodating even after we made a mistake when we were booking our rental. they were able to help us fix it, even helped us add insurance. we did the e-bikes and it was such a cool adventure to bike a portion of the rim of the grand canyon. the e-bike was a great idea with all the hills. we would do it all again, we had such a fun time!

Three stars for the cafe. Their food is pretty bland and expensive.
Four stars for the bike rental. Renting a bike is one of the absolute best ways to see the Grand Canyon. Biking Hermit Road allows you to see about a half dozen overviews where the tour buses don't stop, giving you plenty of privacy for clear shots and quiet to enjoy the pure majesty of the Grand Canyon.
That said, the bikes themselves aren't great. They're low-gear (only 7 gears), probably to stop you from going too fast. But because the Grand Canyon is so hilly, the bikes basically waste all your downhill momentum when riding into an uphill section, because pedaling doesn't "kick in" and do anything until you're basically close to a complete stop. This leads to lots of unnecessarily painful lowest-gear uphill pedalling episodes. I would have appreciated a higher gear bike to capitalize on downhill momentum to easily make it up uphill sections.

We rented BESV ebikes from this company while visiting the Grand Canyon. It was an very pleasurable experience. The company personnel, especially Gavin, were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in setting us up and providing instruction as to the use of the ebikes. Riding the Rim Trail was awesome and provided to our group beautiful scenic views of the Canyon while getting exercise. We recommend Bright Angel Bicylcles highly to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon. It will only enhance your time spent at the Canyon.

Great value and away from crowds! We did the Hermit Shuttle package, and it was the perfect way to see the Grand Canyon since we only had one day there! The bike shop checks guests booked on this tour first which was very convenient, and then the shuttle takes you past all of the crowds and meets you further down the path/road for transportation back to the starting pint. Even on a 100+degree day, we had a great time as most of the biking is downhill! You can really take your time stopping at each lookout along the way, and you don't need to stay with the people from your shuttle if you bike at a different pace. Our shuttle driver answered questions and shared great stories about the area on our drives. Highly recommend if you want an adventure that is not too intense and you are short on time!

If you're viewing the grand canyon, this is the way to do it!!! The shuttle takes you past all of the boring stuff and drops you off at a lookout point. You can time yourself perfectly and avoid ALL crowds!!!
It's a 6 mile bike ride and good for families. The end was a little rough because it was uphill, but the views are so private compared to being shuttled around.
For 2 adults and 2 children in June of 2021, it cost us $145. I do recommend booking early!
Don't forget, it's a $35 fee to get into the park, so bring 🤑🤑.
If this was helpful, leave a like and a follow! We're road tripping and reviewing along the way!

If you're looking at the 4.4 star rating and thinking this is the best option you have in the GC...think again. Our chips were stale, the sandwiches were awful (see pics), coffee was meh.
