Blue Plate Cafe

Great place. The staff was friendly and you could tell they enjoy working there. Very good southern style food, had to stop myself from ordering a second blue plate special!

Most of the food was good. Hush puppies were dry. What ever you do, don't get the peach cobbler 😜. None of us liked it. Very few peaches and it was the consistency of sandy baby food. Waitress was very pleasant and atmosphere was nice.

Always looking for a great diner when I travel. Well-seasoned food, true Southern cooking here. Good hospitable service, will DEFINITELY come again when I'm in Huntsville!

I've had three occasions where different things are forgotten for the to-go order (cranberry sauce, sides, wrong entree). It's getting frustrating. Also, mashed potatoes are too stiff half the time. Some days they're smooth, other days not. Blue plate is usually excellent.

Great food and friendly staff. The Big Cheese was wonderful and the peanut butter pie was the best I have ever had! Catfish plate was a lot of food for the price and dessert was included. Open face roast beef was great. Try this place. We will go back.

Our bookclub met here recently for our meeting. Even though it was busy, our server never missed a beat. She got our meals to us in record time, everything just as we ordered, smiling the whole time. We didn't hold the cafe hostage with a long meeting, just discussed as we ate, but everything was delicious. And, did I mention that they have Lemon Ice Box pie? I never knew until someone else ordered, and I may have to make a special trip again soon just for the pie! Yum!

The food was hot and delicious. I had an omelet and hash browns. The portion was more than enough to be full! Great service as always!!

Blue plate on Governor's drive is a town staple. Our lunch bunch met there and I was the only one that had been there before. Girls loved it and we definitely go back!!!

OMFG I showed up 15 minutes before closing and ordered the pot roast Black eye peas and turnip greens oh & coleslaw and was Blown Away

Well umm. I'm from UP north. Philly New Jersey.. so I saw on menu Hot roast beef sandwich..if I remember correctly.. well I got the plate in it was roast beef with gravy n mashed potatoes.. like I was expecting a piled high roast beef sandwich on rye br6ed of course.. ugh. And gravy dip on side. They got it all wrong... it was just *ok*. Was there on 4/22/23. Noon. Will not be going back. Sorry. I love Diners. But uggh.
