Let's just be honest here, if you haven't gone here...why are you waiting for?! Lol We are from out of town and working down the street. We decided to stop in here after driving by a few times and thought, "why didn't we come here sooner?" The food is super good and very well priced for the amount you receive. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

We stopped in for lunch and it was pretty busy.. ordered the Catfish dinner with dessert included which was banana pudding.. service was efficient and the food came out pretty quickly.. everything was good but the catfish had a slight fishy taste which I'm not very fond of but with a little lemon and tartar sauce it was hardly noticeable.. other than that it was an overall good experience.

I'm so glad we came to the Blue Plate Cafe for supper. Before we left PA I checked other Google reviews and this diner did not disappoint. Three good sized meals, coffee and soda all for $37.00; good down home cooking. If we ever come back to Huntsville, we will come back here!

First time here. Always passed it on the way to work. Did not disappoint. Great coffee. Service was very good. Never let my coffee get half way empty. I had the breakfast burrito. It had eggs, cheese and bacon. Delicious. Had to pack some of it to go. Real live atmosphere. I like that. Plenty people eating breakfast. Bathroom was cleaned. Nice sign. Enjoyed it and recommend it and will definitely return.

I happened to find this little gem while staying here in Huntsville for work. I have to come back next week too and I will be back! I was talking to the staff and they have been open for 21 years. It shows. They care about the food they serve. The food is all home made. I had the beans and greens sou. Just delicious! I also had the Cobb salad with the fat free italian dressing. Allso delicious and a large serving! Service was spot on. I would give it a 10 out of 5 if i could!Coming in from Jersey, they made me feel right at home! I also took some fried catfish back to my hotel. So good! This would be my go to eatery if I lived here...

Ate here on my way out of town from visiting my brother. I’ve always been a traditional breakfast guy and enjoy my eggs and grits with a side of hash browns. I ordered my eggs over easy and a side of hash browns and requested them crispy. Our waitress was friendly and got us everything we requested. Unfortunately, my over easy eggs were very scorched. My extra crispy hash browns were crispy on both sides but very soft in the middle. I was hoping for crispy all the way through. Grant it they gave me a ton of hash browns. Way more than I could eat. The grits were good and not thick. I like a thinner grits. It came with one biscuit and gravy which was good. With tip, you are looking around $16 per person. Overall, the breakfast was good but just really disappointing that my eggs were scorched as much as they were.

Great service, prompt food. The lemon pie is delicious. The chicken and dressing is fabulous. We had lots of leftovers!

True spirit of local hospitality, friendly staff, nice and kind guests, many locals and a feeling of tight community. The food reassemble the perception of local home cooked dishes, plates are full, abs you won't be leaving hungry! The menu is diverse and everyone will find something tasty! Enjoy!

A real Huntsville institution. Comfort food at comfort prices! Breakfast, lunch or dinner, we've never had a bad meal here. The staff is always friendly and the food is like home!
