I’ve loved blue plate for years, but I probably won’t be going back.
My brother and I each ordered one cocoa biscuit, only to receive two biscuits on the same plate drenched in cold brown tinged liquid. I flagged down our server, and she was kind enough to give us another plate to transfer one of liquid-logged biscuits which immediately tore apart during the process. It was impossible to share the biscuits in the condition they were presented to us in.

I've been going for a while now everything is usually amazing the last time I went which was about three weeks ago I experienced what in my opinion would be racism just one waitress everyone else is usually pretty sweet the waiter I'm talking about she kinda fun sized & looks very strong veins and what not popping out every where she refused to take my order but immediately tooks the ppl who came after me and looked me dead in the eyes and would not take my order and it was a call in & also one other waiter that yelled at me when trying to grab her attention

I had the pot roast dinner. It was above average. Service was good and atmosphere good.

EDIT 2/2018
I sadly had to bump my stars down from 5 to 3. I just visited for breakfast food with extended family last week, arrived at exactly 10:31am, and was told breakfast cutoff was 10:30am. I asked for clarification, as they kindly told me that 10:29 is okay, even 10:30 is fine, but 10:31 is no good. I was hoping/expecting a little common courtesy and sense on this one (10:35, 10:45, okay I understand, but seriously 1min over?), but they are really strict on this one. I guess just keep this in mind if you proceed to go.
Love this place! Super delicious food, large sized portions, comfy booths. (Those cheesy browns and Biscuits & Gravy are amazing!) Great service, and the price is good too! Highly recommended.

Blue Plate is a great place to go for meat and three vegetables. Locally owned and operated Blue Plate is a great place for any meal of the day. Breakfast is the best in my opinion. There are daily specials, really good desserts, and the coffee is top notch. Service is fast and friendly. Go with a friend or eat alone. You will find local business people, elected officials, and workers/contractors. Everyone is welcome.

Great service and yummy food. Both my husband and I left so full! Our waitress rocked it! She kept our drinks filled and was quick with anything we needed!! The chicken fingers, broccoli casserole and peach cobbler were all delicious! My husband had the meatloaf and hash brown casserole! He loved the casserole! We will definitely be back!

So delicious. Friendly service. Ordered takeout and it did not disappoint if you're looking for great diner breakfast food.

We've been visiting the good folks at Blue Plate Cafe for 30 years and it's just as good as home cooking was at your grandma's table. I like the catfish and I've never left there hungry. Try the peach cobbler if it's on the menu - to die for.

Excellent food! Chicken and dressing, authentic, made from scratch with large portion of chicken. Kasyn our server was nice, efficient and friendly. Everyone in our group was pleased with food and service.

Sadly, the bacon has a strange aftertaste. It seems like they are cutting corners and using poor quality and overused seed oils to cook much of their food in. Anything fried has a strange taste.
Service is excellent. The staff are professional and attentive. Great place to run into the who’s who of Huntsville.
Sadly, a poor rating is warranted due to the abysmal quality and taste of the food.
