Ok, so I loved the atmosphere of this coffee shop and was considering becoming a regular but the owner is very rude. Yesterday, he was yelling at a barista saying he had so much on his plate. The kind barista offered to help as much as she could to alleviate his workload. This seemed to be just a small glimpse of the abuse from this man. Another customer and I exchanged worried glances as we watched in horror.

I observed how he treats all of the customers and he is equally short and agitated, only treating people who are his friends with any kindness. His treatment of people reminds me a lot of the owner of Parkside in Avondale, and we all know what happened to it.

To the barista: get out of there girl. Enduring a work environment like that is neither healthy nor normal.

To the owner: please be kind. You reap what you sow.

Cold brew was delicious. They didn't have white chocolate, which significantly disappointed my sister.

Feel like I’ve been missing out. I frequent a few coffee shops around town but they are all closed today. Found a new place to frequent! Super cool vibe, the employees were nice, do recommend.

Never a bad drink! This is my favorite coffee spot in Birmingham! They have many house made small plate items and syrups. Each amazing on their own. The day’s brewed coffee is made from a selection of the one of small batch roasted beans that ship in from regional roasters. My coffee at home is better too. With just a few questions about brew methods and taste preferences, they offered several options to smell. It was hard to choose. I’m not sure you could go wrong. My go-to drink is an oat milk latte with lavender blossom syrup. Local artist’s works display in the upper seating. There is indoor and outdoor seating, too.

Such a kind staff and I really enjoyed going! I will be back!

I had a beautiful experience here- the owners were welcoming and eager to talk through their pour over selections with me. We settled on an Ethiopian selection that was more on the bright side and then lo’ and behold my favorite bundt cake ever was in their pastry case (Honey Bourbon Cake from Beehive Baking Co.) My experience was brief, but pleasant and it’s nice to have a spot to stop in while doing business in 5 Points!

Really excellent coffee and tea. Recommend the Nutella coffee and the white tea.

Just grown to really love this place. Obviously better than the Starbucks they replaced. Coffee is always great. Get a pour over with some of their more limited special selections. Grab a delicious dessert while you're there, or pick up gear for your home brewing setup. Love it.

I love this place! I was hoping that a coffee shop would move in somewhere in Five Points that was locally owned. They are environmentally friendly and their coffee tastes good! Great pastries and frittatas too! I subtracted a star only because I've had my coffee cold a couple of times and I just needed them to heat it. No big deal!

This place was surprisingly well oiled for a first day. Lots of different coffees and drinks to choose from. This was a very needed establishment to the area after the Starbucks in the same location closed last year. Having it be local and better than a mass chain Starbucks is an added bonus. I think many an afternoon will be spent working from the upstairs loft in here since it is so close to my office.
