Review of Einstein Bros. Bagels

Einstein Bros. Bagels: a counter-service chain that offers a variety of bagels, soups, salads, baked goods, and egg sandwiches. The restaurant is located in Birmingham, Alabama, and is open from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. The business is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The bagels are the highlight of this restaurant. They are soft, tasty, and extremely fresh. The jalapeño bagel is a customer favorite. The NovA Lox bagel is also highly recommended. The sandwiches are also delicious. The employees are friendly, amazing, and interact with the customers, making them feel belonged and happy. The service is quick, and the orders are delivered in a very short amount of time.

However, some customers have had issues with the staff. They often forget orders and screw them up. The staff can be quite rude when this is pointed out. The business does not take cash or credit cards, only one card. This is a poor business practice, and it is disappointing for customers who pay by cash or credit cards. The restaurant can get crowded, and the service can be slow at times.

The prices are reasonable, and the food is worth the price. The restaurant is a great place for UAB students to grab a quick bite. The sandwiches are much better than Panera, and they cost less. The coffee is also good, and they serve Caribou Coffee. The restaurant is conveniently located and is worth the walk.

I was not disappointed at all because the bagels were soft, tasty, and extremely fresh.
The only reason why I scored them a four was because I had received an email to receive a bakers dozen for $7.00, etc. The store workers knew nothing about it and said it was Grub. Nope, I received it in my email and as notification to my direct sign on account for Einstein.
The place was very busy, but they do a fantastic job getting orders taken and delivered in a very short amount of time.

The place was closed at 7.15 am. Not sure why the website says open. Disappointed 😞

Einstein was a whacko for not making his own bagel joint. I love the nova lox!

Good food. Workers often forget your order though and screw it up. Past 3 times I've been there they get the bagel wrong and forget to double the eggs even thought I paid for it. Staff can be quite rude when this is pointed out so at this point I've just stopped ordering what I want and just grab whatever. Wish the manager could fix this but I rarely ever see him. Wish I could get my money back

Okay food for what you pay for. Although my sandwich would have been better if it was actually on the bagel I’d ordered. And I hadn’t needed to repeat my coffee order (a large hot latte) 4 times.

Conveniently located (for students) in the LRC building. Nearly inaccessible for others. Can be busy at lunch, and at the top of every hour when classes change. Prices and taste are good, but not notable. Staff are nice, even when the line of customers stretches out the door.

I ordered the Nova Lox, toasted, on an everything bagel. I received Nova Lox on an un-toasted sesame bagel. There were 5 staff members behind the counter (2 on their phones), and one other person in line. It wasn't a complicated order.

If you're a UAB student, just go here.. Skip Panera and Starbucks if you're looking for food. The sandwiches here are SO MUCH better than Panera. I mean in another league. And they cost less.

I have yet to try their coffee, but as they seem to serve caribou coffee, I am sure it will be more than adequate. I will be skipping Starbucks except when I am in the mood for a frappuccino.

YES it is worth the walk(not really far from anything anyways). Even better if you live in Blazer or NFR.

It may not be the absolute best food out there, but for UAB students with dining dollars? Best I've had. That is unless you want a burger.

tl;dr Best food I've had at UAB unless you're craving for a burger, then go the Den.

Doesn't take cash or credit cards-one card only again for the second time. This is such a poor business practice. I certainly will not be returning. Apparently the business doesn't care about those customers who pay by cash or credit cards.
