First time here and definitely not my last. The staff provided great recommendations and great service. I had the Ham and Swiss Croissant & the Caramel Apple Spice Latte. They were both delicious! There were several seasonal drinks on the menu and a variety of breakfast items as well. I love the atmosphere as well with all the windows for the natural light to shine in and also the option of outdoor seating. This coffee shop was quite busy, but I understand why. I am adding The Red Cat to my list of favorite coffee shops in Birmingham. Great place to work or meet up with a friend!

Always a pleasure when I visit this place. The customer service is top notch and everyone is always pleasant and even with the crowds, they tend to keep it pretty clean. There is usually a wait, but it’s never a problem because of the atmosphere and I understand that they’re busy. My fav’s are the Gouda grits, the grit bowl and the avocado toast…YUM! I’m not a true coffee drinker, but their lattes are pretty good as well as their smoothies. Count me in to visit at least once per week. Keep up the outstanding work.

My son took me to this coffee shop. We had mocha macchiato's and they were delicious. The upbeat music is a bit loud but pretty common. There were lots of students posted up with laptops open. The staff was friendly. They offer some food options but we only have coffee. What I loved to see is the diversity of the population in this coffee shop. The only thing I didn't really care for was all the smoke (from
the kitchen, I assume) in the shop.

Red cat @ Pepper Place is a great place to study or meet people for coffee. The staff is super friendly and the vibes are good. The place gets pretty busy during the week so there's not many tables available, but Saturdays aren't terrible.

Wonderful roasts and brews with friendly baristas. Enjoyed Noir at the Bar, an evening of readings by southern writers.

Stopped in this place last week week. I wanted a cup of coffee after eating at a restaurant across the street. I ordered a small cup of coffee and the cashier told me it was $3.03. I told her the board behind the counter showed it was $2.00 so even with tax it could not be $3.03. She said their prices had changed. I guess they figure it is acceptable to charge customers anything they want. I foolishly went ahead and paid for the coffee. As I was turning around to leave I noticed a sign they had made and posted beside the counter. It said something about supporting transgender women (men who put on a skirt and think they are now a women). If you support traditional values then you may not want to support this place.

This was so good!! My son loved every bite as well! Everything was so fresh. I have had the spanakopita and the veggie wrap for takeout at my job. I’ve had the frappes and they’re delicious. Today was my first visit in person. I love the chill vibes. I had the Havana—coffee always great here! My son had the super fresh peach tea! Expectations were exceeded. We will return.

I went to Red Cat coffee house a few days ago!
I was excited to try a new coffee shop in town. It was good to say the least.
I enjoyed their coffee even though it could be a bit stronger (in my opinion) also their breakfast sandwich was very good. I would not mind coming back to this location.

I got an iced coffee with almond milk and a granola bar. They were both disgusting. I wanted a breakfast burrito but the woman said it would take 30 to 40 minutes to make one. This was on a Wednesday and they weren't busy. There was no waiting line, and it takes a few minutes to cook an egg and heat a tortilla. The milk was bad in my coffee. My husband explained this to the woman. She got offensive and said that is what almond milk looks like in coffee. We go to several coffee shops and it never looks like the milk is curdling. We asked for another drink and she got mad and said okay and walked off. She never spoke to him again and he was given the new drink from another worker. I tasted the new drink....and it still tasted bad. I love local coffee shops. But this was the worst tasting coffee I have ever had. Ever. I would recommend using the free coffee given to you at your hotel room before drinking their coffee or eating their food or dealing with rude people.
