Tried the Birmingham Fog and it was very tasty. Don't think I'll be back though, since I paid $8 for that drink, and that's not even with a tip! So so overpriced, and the parking situation is pretty stressful.

Came here this morning on my way into work.
First impressions:
- great atmosphere
- free WiFi 🥳
- knowledgable staff
- pretty decent selection
- free samples of their coffee to take home w/ you and try.
Be sure to check out their upstairs loft area. Pretty quiet and has a skylight 🤓

The salted butterscotch iced latte is so good! I'll definitely be back soon!

My first visit and loved everything about it. It is like a little hidden gem.

I love staying where I can walk to a local coffee shop. I was thrilled to be able to visit Filter. Service was quick, order was correct, and my scone and cold brew were great! I hate I was only able to stop in once.

Good lavender latte, but probably could have added an extra shot of espresso. It tasted a bit weak. I’d come back!

Best local coffee shop in bham! The specialty lattes are to die for

Unexpected charge of $1 for not even an ounce of their version of half and half and a $.35 "to go" charge to sit upstairs i guess. They charged me a Regular drip Coffee for $4.60 and it's not even good. Outrageous prices. A bill of 9 something for a regular drip and a tea that was not even good either. I'm surprised I was not charged $5 to use their internet!!

Very nice guy behind the bar and the best coffee in Birmingham.

Went to Filter for the first time this morning and had a terrible customer service experience with the owner who was working there at the time. He was incredibly rude and impatient with us which is never something you want to experience early in the morning. One of us requested almond milk and rather than providing good customer service, he blew his breath in agitation and told us he didn't offer that and then pointed to the menu at the other alternative milks.
I was super excited to try Filter for the first time because it had been so well spoken of but I will never take my business there again. There are plenty of small coffee businesses around town with better attitudes towards their customers.
