The French Goat

Escargot was old and had the taste and texture of shoe leather. French Fries, served with the steak, were too salty, as was the French Onion Soup.

Unbelievable! Had the salmon and husband had the filet. Both were exceptional. Plus Wednesday was half price on all bottles of wine! Atmosphere, staff, and food were perfection!!

Food was awesome. Service was great. I had the scallops and pasta and it was amazing. We had an apple fritter plate and ice cream and that was the perfect end to a perfect meal. Will definitely go again if we’re in the area

It is a charming place and location. The food was good, but, over priced. Our waiter, from Brooklyn, was charming and attentive. He did a good job although faced with the challenges of tables too closely placed together. Unfortunately, we had to walk through cigarette smoke to enter the front door, both arriving and departing. They use paper to cover the white tablecloths! I found this to be very amusing given the image they are trying to project. They don't clear they unnecessary cutlery once the order is placed and they did not automatically bring plates for the shared appetizers.

My wife and I were traveling through the area for the first time and were we surprised with the little treasure that we found The French goat. The wait staff provided fantastic service in the food was nothing short of amazing. I would never hesitate in making the 4-Hour return trip just to eat at this restaurant again. Thank you for an amazing night and date with my wife!

Never got to enjoy the food because the host scolded us when we arrived. We made a 7:30 reservation but finished with our day around town at 6:00pm. We decided to go to the restaurant at 6:15 and cancelled our 7:30 reservation when we arrived. The host told us we clogged up their reservations. We sat down but when I got up to use the restroom, I stopped by the host to let him know we didn't intend on clogging their reservations, we just finished our day early. He continued to let me know that I should have called and I shouldn't have clogged up their schedule. Again, I explained that it was last minute that our timeline changed. He insisted we shouldn't have done that and we were free to leave. So we did. That was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and didn't even have a bite to eat.

Great food and service. Nice selection of fresh seafood and meat dishes. Signature cocktails and food selection of wine. Truffle fries are a treat. Flounder special light and tasty. Excellent value for a hood meal.

Haven't eaten here but will very soon, simply because an owner who lives in reality and treats his guests with the same respect the afford him is priceless in my book. See you soon!

We have always enjoyed the French Goat whenever we are in Lewisburg. The service was impeccable, the venue and music in the background was perfect. So many places do not know how to select music and it makes the dining experience less then desirable. The food, which is of course the main factor, was excellent and the presentation imaginative. We always go to the French Goat whenever we are in Lewisburg.

Knowledgeable wait staff, friendly and the food was amazing.
