Always a good experience, have been here 10+ times, never a bad thing to say and that goes a long way

Highly recommended - Flavorful dishes made with finesse and care. Everything has been well-balanced and textural. The waitstaff is polite and welcoming, making this place one of our favorites.

Somewhat surprisingly, it's actually an excellent value, as well.

We were staying at the Greenbriar and were surprised to hear that there was a French restaurant in nearby Lewisburg. Since we spent three years in Paris, we had to try it. I was impressed with the decor, and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The wine I selected wasn't available but the bartender provided a comparable replacement. We sampled some typical French dishes where, even in France, some restaurants take shortcuts with mediocre results: onion soup, confit de canard, crème brûlée. All were delicious and appeared to be properly prepared. In addition, the escargots were perfect and not rubbery. We may return to Lewisburg next year just to eat at the French Goat.

One of the best meals ever! Three longtime friends to celebrate a birthday each September - October - November. Starting off with French Onion Soup - absolutely the best I have ever had and remained hot from the first bite to the last!! We each decided to get the Filet Mignon - perfection! To finish the meal two Creme Brulee and a Lemon Tart - delicious!! Our server Kirk was very knowledgeable and very laid back - immediately put us at ease!! We will definitely be back!!!

Me and my husband had an amazing time. The food was delicious and. The service was amazing. The over all experience was something I will hold onto for years to come. Next vacation to west Virginia we will most definitely be going back

Excellent food. Top notch service. Adequate wine and whiskey selection. Prepare to pay for it but no doubt in my mind, the best meal in town. Espresso would have been great. Only whole carafes of French press available.

Unique menu, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. The portions are enough to fill you up and the cocktails are strong but still tasty. And probably most important, the food is delicious. Looking forward to going again.

We always make a stop at The French Goat whenever we are in Lewisburg. It is our favorite restaurant! We ordered curbside carryout tonight and they exceeded all our expectations. The food quality definitely did not suffer even though it was to-go. Somehow they even managed to make the presentation gorgeous in the take-out containers. On top of it all, they have taken the safety of their customers seriously during these uncertain times. We'll be back again and again!

We went to the french goat in october. There were 7 of us. We were seated promptly since we had a reservation. The food was only mediocre. My dad got the wrong meal, he would have eaten it if the brussel sprouts were not burned and hard as a rock. When he said something, the manager got rude and grabbed his plate away and stormed out of the room. Dad was still hungry so he ordered dessert. An apple tart. Cold. Hard crust. Still hungry when we left. Sure won't be going back there. Very pricey, mediocre food. Poor service.

Had a wonderful experience! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was awesome. The staff was so kind and considerate it felt like I was talking to family or as if I was eating at a friends house. The food was a bit on the higher side of the price scale but I would 100% recommend for special occasions. Also the cops was so delicious I couldnt stoo talling about it for at least 30 minutes after I left the restaurant. I definitely think this is a place you should try if you ever get a chance. Anither reason is that this place seems to be reservation o ly and we were unaware however they still foun us somewhere to sit and treated us kindly and without judgement. I genuinely cannot wait for the chance to go back.
