This small and hip coffee shop in Ballard is a neighborhood gem. During my visit, Gabriel the barista is really nice and friendly and he made a great cup of latte.
Besides coffee, pastry and other beverages, the shop also carries a wide selection of (natural) wines with taste notes on many of them, it looks like a great place to pick up a bottle for any occasions.
There is a small but charming indoor seating area at the back of the store and a larger outdoor patio on Ballard Ave.

*Update* they have a nice Carignan wine “Blu”: a brilliant and classically structured wine.

A little wine shop with one of my favorite pastries: the cardamom swirl twist thing. - just finished it with a strong coffee- an excellent combo!!!
Nice outdoor seating.

Anchored Ship in Ballard was a treat on Saturday! They have lots of seating inside and outside, and not only are they a coffee shop but also a wine shop too!

This is a great little spot for a latte and pastry. The service is fast and friendly. The pastries are freshly made and SO tasty. I've tried their lattes and London fog tea, both delicious. There's a place to sit upstairs but I've only gotten items to go.
I've browsed around the store and they have a good selection of wines as well.
Go support this local business.

Great coffee and wine store in Ballard! Friendly service and a wine club you can join. Great indoor seating as well!

Smooth, tasty caramel latte. Light flavor. The taste of the espresso, I get a half shot, holds its own. I don't drink much caffeine but enjoy the taste as a treat.

Peculiar coffee shop in the heart of Ballard. The layout is a little clunky as it appears to be an old house converted into a coffee shop. Not much they can do about that, but it still feels clunky. I didn't feel inclined to stay and hang out more than 15 mins. The shop ended up being pretty busy while I was there with a single barista, so the service was a bit slow. I ordered a Mocha and Hot Chocolate and both drinks were decent, but I don't think I'd go back given all the options available.

Lovely cardamom oat latte, tasty veggie breakfast sandwich, friendly service.
Great street side patio for Ballard watching. And dog treats.
