The barista on 9/6 was a incredibly rude. He stated yelling at us for lining up in front of the door. We were clearly there to work with all of our book bags and one of us spent time scoping out seats to work at. All the while he tells us exactly after we've paid that they limit indoor seating to 5 to 10 minutes.
Can't speak about the drinks because we had such a bad taste in our mouth about the experience.

The coffee is not great, but the service is terrible. There were 3 women behind the counter: one of them war super rude and kept shouting at customers to wait outside, rather than asking nicely. The other 2 were just chilling out. It took them 10’ to deliver one single espresso and by the time I finally got it it was cold. Not coming back.

Delightful little coffee bar with good vibes and great coffee. I’m a huge fan of the low ceiling nook upstairs above the bar. It’s not the most practical but it’s cozy.

Fantastic coffee!! Perfectly pulled shots and steamed milk have put Anchored at the top of my list of favorite coffee shops in Ballard. The space is small and if there's a line you'll be waiting outside, but the staff is quick and efficient so it's rarely a long wait.

Cute, small, personable. Unfortunately during COVID you really can't stay inside (too cramped) but there's covered seating outside. Baristas are charming and the coffee is very tasty, milk was perfectly steamed.
Location is really a plus, you can stop in for a coffee and walk to so many local spots from here.

Excellent little coffee corner. Usually pretty good latte making and uses counter culture beans which to my taste is mostly solid third wave coffee.
The back room is nice and subdued with tables for working, sitting studying, reading while the hidden little upstairs nook is more couches vibes and chats with friends.
When I’m in Ballard I’ll often go here over say Cafe Umbria because the whole place just feels a bit more personable.

Used to love this spot. Last time I’ll ever go after being loudly, rudely commanded to keep my mask on (after pulling my mask down briefly to take a bite of a pastry) while waiting for two simple drinks that didn’t ever come up, so we just left. They were flustered and clearly distracted by opportunities to impose restrictions they couldn’t explain.

Cozy little coffee shop right in the heart of downtown Ballard. It's a very small shop so it's not great for large groups but perfect for a quick visit or getting in some study time. I especially enjoyed their upstairs area which was super cozy. The matcha latte was a big hit with our group.

They make such amazing lattes! I love the little loft up top, it’s so cute. And they have mizuba matcha which is soooo good! This is my go-to cafe whenever I want coffee in Ballard (which is very often, I work in the neighborhood)

Such a great find! Friendly staff and excellent coffee. Really made our walk in Ballard truly amazing.
