So good! Really extraordinary menu considering the size of the place and the remote location. I can't wait to go back!!! Food is A+. Coffe bar way better than Starbucks!!!!

My brunch and hot chai latte were delicious and the waitress was so thoughtful! She made sure I had all the condiments available and even offered to reheat my chai after I'd been there a while and hadn't finished it.

Best food in town. Ask for Maria’s fried oysters!
One month later: not many restaurants serve grilled asparagus as a side. Super place.

I positively love Java Jacks. I’ve been coming here since they first opened in 2006 and it’s been amazing every single time. Mimi and Bruce truly made their dreams come true... come for the food, stay for the hospitality... I’ll be a customer for life.
PS. Mimi and Bruce sold JJ to long time customers - they will keep everything the same... staff, recipes, everything :)

I love going to this place. It's an old small house with old wooden tables and chairs. Everything is my mis-matched including the dinnerware. The staff is very friendly and I've never had anything that wasn't yummy.

Quaint little place with great food, charming decor, and wonderful staff. Easy to miss if you're just driving by, but well worth the stop. I had the Eggs Chesapeake - it was delicious!

Seldom does one have a chance to review a cafe in a car wash, but here we are. The food consists of Southern standards (especially at breakfast) and the usual assortment of delicious but ubiquitous lunches like pannini or burgers. Your best bet is the Southern chow --stuff like fried oysters, crabcakes, and local fish-- no matter what time of day you visit. Props to the owners for pouring money into the conversion, and for the open kitchen that contributes so much to the diner experience.

This is a favorite for lunchtime. Been there three times, each better than the last. Food is great and fresh, prices are reasonable, and staff is friendly. One of the few truly unique dining places in Tappahannock.

Love this place! All the ladies are so cheerful and helpful. And the food is delicious. Love their lattes.

Hidden treasure that is on your way to many major cities in Virginia and Maryland... quaint, homey, and welcoming. The food is delicious. It's a rustic delight!!!
