Waited an hour for a celebration lunch with my son today. After the hour, our waitress came out to inform us that they were out of burger and would we like to select something else. Really? After an hour wait???? Unacceptable!!! To top that off, the couple who was sat right before us was asking for to go boxes.
I used to enjoy eating here, but this will be the last. Get it together,Java Jacks!!!

Stopped here on our way to the Marine Museum for breakfast. Both of our meals were really good. I also got a café au lait to go. It was also really good. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

What a charming restaurant, right in the center of the historical district. We were passing through and stopped for brunch. So glad we did! The food was excellent. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. The home fries were good. Well seasoned and browned just right. The steak was great! The gravy was nice and creamy. Our server was very sweet. We didn't feel rushed at all. She was happy to refill our coffee as we read the local paper. If you have to choose one restaurant in town, pick this one. :)

Cutest little place! The staff is friendly and always smiling. When walking it's you are greeted by the cashier. Heading into actual Cafe is such a delight. The coffee is amazingly fresh. We got a few iced lattes and the frappe.
I've always been one of those people who rate a resturant in not only the resturant but the bathrooms. Cleanliness is always important after all! The bathroom was very cute, clean and well this little guy topped the cake!

Such a gem of a cafe! Have a delicious coffee on the go or stay for the fresh made fried dough jacks and have a relaxed lunch! My favorite spot in Tappahannock!

Great little roadside cafe right along the highway. We were traveling through the area and stopped here for lunch. They have a good selection of food and serve breakfast all day. I got the crabcake sandwich and was very impressed. The sweet potato fries were also very good. Customer service was outstanding and prices are also very reasonable. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Coffee shop, great breakfast place, awesome ambiance. Got a cold latte with soy milk, breakfast burrito without animal products and added black beans. Great place for vegetarian and vegan! Impressed, as usual :) and get the jacks (soft fluffy dough) in powdered sugar!

Very good omelets. Very good customer service. No issues whatsoever, and they have cute branded clothes for sale as well.

Bad experience!!! Went here for brunch a second time because the food & service was great the first time. We waited 45 minutes for our table, no big deal, they were busy. We sat and ordered our food and coffee flight. Coffee flight was okay, the flavors were not as good as the last time, we couldn’t even drink the strawberry & cream because it tasted so bad. We waited 40 minutes and no food meanwhile we watched a waitress eating with one of the patrons, standing by there table and snacking off their food & talking. We were an hour in with no food or the appetizer we ordered. Didn’t see our waitress for the last 30 minutes of being there so at that point we just got up to leave after waiting so long. Paid $13 for the flight, not worth it on the weekends. Maybe better during the weeks but I went up to To Do Cafe and had quick service & good food.
