Staff was great and clearly kept busy! The iced latte and lemon ricotta muffin were to die for. Would absolutely come back to try other items another time! They seemed a little low on selection at 10:30 am but I’m sure a little earlier would’ve let me try more flavors of items!

On a Sunday morning (Nov 1) there were just two people working and only one of them was making drinks and taking orders (I couldn’t tell what the other person was doing). It was pouring rain so I tried to order ahead on the phone but the first call got disconnected after I was placed on hold and then every time I called back there wasn’t any answer. The recording suggested placing an order online so I went to their website and the immediate pickup option said it would be ready in 30-35 minutes (too slow). When I showed up the person making drinks had to walk around the counter to get to the front window to take orders and collect payment. The people in front of me waited at the window for their order to be ready. When they were done and left, I stepped forward to place my order & pay and then stepped back to allow the person behind me to place an order (thinking this was more efficient). That person had a pickup order that did not appear to be ready yet so they made his order and then made mine after. I tried to order a soy iced latte and they did not have soy milk which was a bit surprising for a coffee shop. The straws are paper and turn to mush unless you chug your drink. The coffee itself was good, but the ordering process and staffing could use some improvement. I’d suggest biodegradable straws that aren’t made of paper or sippable lids like they have at Starbucks to avoid the straws altogether.
I haven’t tried the food options yet as they seemed a bit pricey for grab and go. Perhaps in a non-Covid, nice day outdoor dining experience it would make more sense.

Lake Anne Coffee House & Wine bar has become one of my favorites, and I don't even like coffee! The food and wine are outstanding!

The Lake Anne Coffee House is wonderful little place with a good selection of delicious food and drink! The coffee house really knows how to make a good ambiance, especially when they bring in live musicians. With a little food, a little wine, and some good friends everything feels just right in the world. In general Lake Anne is a wonderful, vibrant place with a beautiful view and plenty of good people.
All in all the coffee house is a gem on a grand crown that is the lake and I highly recommend it!

Wow. I literally stumbled across this place driving through Virginia and how cool! The food was great as well as the atmosphere. The owners were very kind and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

I’m new to VA (from NYC) and visited this wine bar on a whim. The Lake Anne Coffee House and Wine Bar is amazing. Tonight was my first night there and the staff and the sommelier acted not just as professionals, but as family too. I would highly recommend this place for a date night or a private event. I only took a few photos but hope to return soon, everyone is extremely welcoming!

Awesome place. Cozy, quiet, friendly. If you combined the classic homemade-grandmas-house feel with the look of Caribou coffee and a touch of modern atmosphere, you get Lake Anne Coffee house. I was helped and served by Erin, who Prepared and casually educated me on cardamom spice at the same time.

Awesome local spot! All the food is excellent - especially brunch. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. They serve pretzels from neighboring shop Nordic Knot on the weekends, too.

Food is good, coffee is good, not the best but a solid choice. Sometimes (mostly on weekends), it’s unclear if it is seat yourself and order at the counter or to be seated and have someone serve you.
Normally we go to grab a bite during the farmers markets or during events. Today we were going to go for dinner and sit outside, however were told we could not be seated because we had outside food with us. I would get this if it was a meal that we brought, however this was half a pretzel that my 4year old daughter had been eating during the pride festival. It wasn’t food us adults who would have been ordering at the coffee house it was my kid’s snack. I was pretty disappointed since we go there so often and it left a bad taste in my mouth making me question if I want to go back.

Very pleasant outdoor atmosphere. Love the stroll around the lake and venture into many small shops and a few delightful restaurants and cafe. Great enjoyment visit after being LOCKED in many weeks(Pandemic)breakout. Go and make a pit stop and see for yourself.
