It was okay… my chai was pretty bland. The whole experience was sort of disappointing to where I left and grabbed another coffee and food elsewhere.

coffee is made perfectly every time and their tea cakes are addictive, a huge light brioche type breakfast pastry. My only issue, there is not much seating and some use it as their office, leaving little room for those mainly interested in a coffee during busy periods.

This is yet another McLean institution that has gone both up market in terms of price and pretentiousness and downhill in terms of service. In the first place the coffee just isn't as good as it once was, with fewer daily variations. The atmosphere used to very homey and the staff went out of their way to be friendly, accommodate requests, etc. They have now installed a high counter that seems like a barrier for the staff to hide behind, and have generally taken on a much more institutional feel that encourages getting in and out as fast as possible--having been a customer literally since the day it opened I feel as though I am treated like a stranger now every time I walk in and am happy to take my drink out to my car. On my most recent and likely last visit there I made a small special request which I make all the time when traveling at the big chains across the country and around the world without problem. I then received a lecture from the manager about how my request was not appropriate because it might raise their expenses to make my coffee more costly for them by a few cents. I informed her that if this was such an imposition I would take my business to her competitors who clearly have a much higher regard for their customers--and indeed did so at the Starbuck's right around the corner!

First timer, initial impression was nothing impressive in the menu. Asked for cinnamon roll and latte, they gives me the roll in plastic wrap and cold, latte was with no lid or heat sleeve! Three start for the outside sitting area.

Pro: The outdoor seating
Con: Rude wait staff, coffee is half-decent, wifi you need a code every 1 hour!
Moral of the story - come here to grab a coffee and sit outside with a friend. Don't come here to do work, talk with the staff or enjoy great service

Great place to sit with friends, grab a morning coffee, or study by yourself. Coffee and food are good, staff is wonderful and very friendly! If you need WiFi for an extended period of time, though, be wary that each login ticket they give you at the front desk is valid only for an hour. You can always grab another, though, and overall this place is awesome!

Local coffee shop with good service with a smile. Wonderful outdoor seating area for alfresco dining. Conveniently located in downtown McLean.

Decent coffee, unfortunately none of the pastries are priced, therefore you may end up buying for $4 something that is priced around $2 elsewhere. Price label would go a long way to avoid the misunderstanding. Lots of seats and power outlets inside and open guest WiFi, which is always nice.

Love their nitro cold brew and they have a great covered/enclosed outdoor space for enjoying your treats!

Greenberry's is home away from home for many of us. This place is a McLean institution that always provides a gathering place and top notch fellowship. I have been a loyal member of the Greenbery's family for five or six years and highly recommend it for it's welcoming atmosphere and like minded company. come on over. It is not about the coffee! As a bit of irony, it was the founder of Starbucks that realized in Italy the coffee houses, of which there are over 200,000 , were not merely selling coffee but that they were participating in fostering the public square. Well said.
