Very cute cafe serving coffee and espresso drinks from Ironclad Roasters (Richmond, VA). My mocha was extremely sweet, but that's what Starbucks has trained most people to expect.

I enjoyed a cappuccino and a very tasty muffin outside on the patio. The service was super-friendly and the vibe was happy and relaxed. Clearly a popular local place!

Stayed at the Tides Inn and they recommended stopping by The Local for some fresh food. Cute little shop right on the main road. Nice selection of breakfast and lunch. We got the California club and the panini which were delicious. Highly recommend the potato salad side. Prices were very reasonable for the area and wait time wasn’t too long. A lot of people clearly order in for pickup.

This place is a joke. Went there today and placed an order for 2 simple sandwiches. I was given a pager. An hour later I still have the pager but no sandwiches. My order was lost! Although the preparer was kind, I am still without my food. How long would I have to wait if I had not asked about my order. The cashier was suppose to be new but not according to him. He stated he did not know how to value a gift card. Preparer had to stop her job to do his. Even though they did make good with a refund, I will not be using their giftcard. Try to support local businesses and this is what you get. I can understand why more go to FAST food businesses. If you want to wait for an hour for a cold sandwich, this is your place.... otherwise find somewhere else.

I had high hopes for this restaurant. I have gone there twice now and both times I have been disappointed. The first time I ordered a Pastrami Hot Dog. It was good but nothing outstanding. It was just a regular hot dog with just a little sauerkraut on it and some pastrami. It was served with the Faro Salad which was different but good. The cost was $12.00 which I thought was steep for what you got. The second time I went, I ordered a The Mickey D Hamburger. Again I was disappointed. It did not have the bacon on it as described on the menu and it was the size of a slider. They will not cook it to order, so if you like well-done hamburgers you are good to go. The cost on it was $13.00 and was served with French fries that were lukewarm. The menu is overpriced for the portions that you get. I do have to say that the waitstaff was very nice, that's why I gave it 3 stars, it was just average.

A weekend away and we stopped here for breakfast. Staff was friendly. The smoothie was perfect. And the assortment of breakfast sandwiches gave us plenty of choices. Love the vibe and enjoyed the food. Stop in your will be glad you did

Food was tasty but I felt it was not a good value for the price. The staff location etc. were great.

Coffee is outstanding. We also bought some cool long-sleeve t-shirts. But staff person making sandwiches wore her mask as a chin strap. We opted not to eat. But the coffee and service merit the 5 stars.
