The food here is good and the environment is pleasant. The service however is bad enough to ruin the experience. We where here on a holiday weekend and they were quite busy. After waiting in line for 20 min to order our it took took 45 minutes to receive our food. My wife however reminded them that we were still missing her food. After another 20 min she still had not received her food. She then went in and politely asked for her food. The staff acted annoyed and offered no apology. We ended up having to take it to go and being treated like we were bothering them, made the whole experience distasteful. While we can understand being very busy on a holiday weekend the attitude of the staff and the response to a legitimate problem are hard to overlook.

Fantastic coffee, food, and help at this cafe. We highly recommend. We’re staying nearby at the Tides Inn, and we were delighted to find the Local. We’ve been getting breakfast and snacks here instead of the hotel. Thank you for being here!

Great ambience, awesome food, and even better service. This is a "must visit" if you're coming through town. They have indoor and outdoor seating and all of the features of a comfortable café: pleasant music, tasty coffee, and a friendly staff. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the coffee and chai here. The sandwiches were not very good in our opinion, tasted like the eggs were microwaved and very rubbery. We admitted to ourselves we should probably have held out for lunch, but selection in town was limited. Cute atmosphere though
