Mr. J's Bagels & Deli

Ordered a veggie melt sandwich to go and got the veggie... but no bread. Side of pasta salad wasn’t included, either.

It’s gone down hill. I picked up my meal and not all of the food was included. The BBQ chicken was cold and the chicken was dry. The home fries were undercooked.

This place has excellent food! Simple cafe atmosphere. Inside and outside seating. They have every kind of bagel you would ever want to eat as well as an assortment of special flavored cream cheeses. I had the breakfast with home fries. The home fries are crispy and delicious. Highly recommend for a great breakfast or lunch. Very reasonably priced.

Just plain and simple, the best bagels in town, good locations, excellent Covid protocol, great staff, excellent selection, lots of extras. The only go-to for bagels in the 'burg. Three locations, open really early in the morning to grab your bagels on the way to work. Some dining in check the website for the store before you make any plans.

Food was good but not all its cracked up to be. The bagels are great but everything else we got was mediocre at best. Suuuuuuuper crowded. Food wasnt worth exchanging air with so many humans during the busy breakfast hours.

If I could give a negative star I would, my roommate and I came here to grab some bagels for breakfast and it could not have gone more wrong. I ordered my bagel and when I received it, it was cold so when I notified them that I order my bagel toasted a woman then yelled at me that I should’ve ordered correctly when I had. My roommate ordered an everything bagel and paid and then was notified afterwards that they were out and she could wait a couple minutes for some to be done. She checked the bagel she was given once we got to the car and the bagel looked like someone had stepped on it and it was doughy with cream cheese in a cup on the side. The east market Mr. J’s could not have been more disappointing and I will go out of my way for a bagel before coming back here.

Best place in Harrisonburg to get breakfast. Their breakfast sandwiches are both excellent and filling. They have an expansive menu and good quality food. The staff is also extremely friendly!

The bagels are great! They came out quickly. I had the biscuits and gravy today, which was good, maybe a bit too much pepper. Staff was friendly and quick.

I grew up on this place and it was always AMAZING! I came back to visit my home town today and I was SHOCKED with how down hill this place has gone. Absolutely the WORST customer service. They have no manners, treat every customer like an inconvenience and you can even hear them talk trash about customers. They were also out of eggs. How does a breakfast place so poorly manage their stock they they run out of their staple item?! Beyond disappointed

Pretty good breakfast bagel sandwiches. The home fries were a little under done and kind of spicy but overall a nice place.
