Mr. J's Bagels & Deli

New favorite deli South of the Mason-Dixon line! NY/NJ style deli with delicious traditional bagels and sandwiches as well as some delicious varieties based on their own ethnic backgrounds. The egg everything bagel was the best my wife's ever had, and the jalapeño bagel had a little heat and flavor that added to my sandwich without overpowering the flavor of the sandwich.

I had the plain, berry, pumpkin and everything bagels. It was great. Place was busy but the staff is super fast, attentive and efficient. We went there twice and both times the orders were done correctly and the food was great. All bagels ready on site. Fantastic service, quick, tasty and lots of options. You can order ahead or order in store. Very yummy!! Best bagels!!

Menu has nice variety. Fast and accurate food service. Drink/condiment area was poorly stocked. (Almond and regular milk were all out, no salt packets…but all were provided upon request).

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because we didn't find a clean table, they had coffee stains and crumbs. I had to wipe our table before we could sit down and enjoy our food. This place gets super busy in the mornings.

Waited 10 mins for everything bagel toasted twice with cream cheese.
Multiple orders went out before mine. Multiple Call in orders filled before mine.
Moral of the story do not ask for a bagel toasted twice! This throws there kitchen staff off! I walked out in frustration. My five dollar purchase including tip thrown to the wind! Would add photo but I have no bagel to show😢

The Mr J's bagels that I was at was absolutely wonderful! But since I've been struck down with degenerative disc disease and became disabled, I really can't afford to go out much anymore, I have not been to Mr J's since that one here in Harrisonburg burnt down, I just really can't afford stuff like that anymore being on disability. But I used to frequent them and always loved it!

Excellent bagels and sandwiches for both breakfast & lunch. Definitely must go! Bagel bites are delicious and have gotten bigger over time.

The food was okay. The service was bad. Home fries were stone cold. I ordered a platter and gat a sandwich. We were eating in and had to eat from take out containers with plastic utensils. The windows and cases were dirty. Ice for soda dispenser was being poured from a dirty bucket that was also used to pack it down.

I had a great bagel sandwich here. The bacon was really good and they didn't skimp on any of the ingredients

My wife threw out the coffee she purchased and we went to the next Starbucks
