Mr. J's Bagels & Deli

Tiff and I went, grabbed a sandwich, a coffee, and they had no creamer except the little International Delights. Which T isn’t a fan off, and I work for Shamrock so I try not to support my competitors (LMAO). Asked for some and was told that what was out front was what they had. May I add, as always, the food was on point.

Bagels are good…make sure you’ve got time to wait. Mobile order supposedly done at 10:15, got confirmation text. At 10:52 I was tired of waiting aksed about it, employees confused, part of my order was out of stock, told me I’d have to wait longer. Not really worth the consistently poor experiences here..

This location has gone down hill more and more every time I go. I came from out of town to visit family in the hospital and was giving it one more chance because they were craving a bagel sandwich. Not only was tuna salad or chicken not an option. None of our requests were answered. We asked for toasted none of our bagels were toasted. We asked for extra mayo and some of the bagels didn't even have any mayonnaise. My sister got a BLT and her bacon was raw. Also there was about one slice of turkey on our sandwiches. The lettuce was dead. All around a very poor poor experience.

My favorite quick food place in town. Perfectly toasted bagels, and handmade breakfast sandwiches. A local business that we should all try to support. I suggest everyone to custom order their sandwiches and not just follow the menu. Unfortunately I bought my regular sandwich yesterday. It used to cost me $3.86 and this time cost me $6.15. This is not to blame the business. These Biden prices are hitting hard.

Good cream cheese and bagels...these are VERY different from NYC bagels in terms of taste so be prepared.
Did ask for my sandwich and other bagel to be toasted dark,baks they were barely toasted.
Still a tasty meal with great service.

The service is becoming very lack luster. I asked for a sandwich with cream cheese on it and the cashier handed me the cream cheese in a container! That’s lazy service. This has happened more than once to me. Not good service. The bagels are delicious!

Love the bagels, but ordering any of the sandwiches or sides here is a mistake. This location has gone down hill in recent years and has served basically raw potatoes to me a few times. And now the sandwiches are suffering too.

Mr J's is a staple I need to visit everytime I go to Harrisonburg. Their Jalapeño bagel is my favorite, but I've never had a bad bagel from them.

You also gotta try the bagel bites which are cut up chunks of bagel topped with various icings... The pumpkin ones in season are a must have!

The E Market store is slow and unorganized. I asked for my money back yesterday. I also talked with some folks from New Jersey who couldn't believe they'd asked for a tip with the way the place was run.

Ordered our 3 sandwiches at 11:08am. Got it at 11:45am. Lesson learned. 37 minutes! Next time I will drive to store, scramble eggs, cook bacon, and make myself.
