I am a big fan! I usually do simple things (e.g. egg biscuit, apple pie, Americano), but they do them well. The avocado toast is elaborate and beautiful, and their menu has a lot of vegetarians (not awesome for vegans, but there are some options). Good for breakfast, lunch, and even a nice place to study. Parking is decent, but even if the lot is full, street parking is not too far. Highly recommend.

Missed the mark.

It was our first visit today after having it in mind to try for a while.

When you walk in the menu was half way down the bar. Unable to read really well from where you order. Because of the size, we couldn't step past the group of people sitting down eating to see it better. It didn't help the menu was written badly, really unorganized. It's fine that it's a small place and it's busy, but put the menu where people order and make it make it more readable.

So we asked what sandwiches they had, and the lady taking our order said she didn't know. I asked her, "is that Chorizo Iberico I see?" She said she wasn't sure and they like to write items in Spanish so she couldn't tell. It's fine it's written in Spanish, but you guys have to know what you're selling so you can tell us at least. She explained she had pork shoulder with potatoes and a pesto sauce, it sounded great so we ordered it. I saw Tortilla Espanola (Spanish omelette) so said I'll take that too!

We honestly weren't 100% sure if we were getting a sandwich. But the ingredients sounded on point.

The Tortilla came out. It was drizzled with olive oil and black paper. It had no onions from what I could tell, just potato and egg made up the tortilla. Most of the flavor of a classic Spanish omelette comes from caramelized onions. So unfortunately it had very little flavor, other than the pepper and olive oil. The potatoes were cut and placed in the omelette dauphinois style. Thin and horizontally layered. This meant the omelette had an odd texture when you cut in to it and ate it. Unfortunately I think it was also microwaved, because it was scorching hot on the inside and tepid warm on the outside.

No one makes a Spanish omelette like my mother, I admit it, and I wouldn't begrudge any place that didn't make it as well as she does. But this really wasn't a Spanish omelette like I'd ever tasted. Bland, odd textured and unevenly hot meaning all I could really taste was the black pepper and olive oil on top.

The pork shoulder (Iberico) came out and it wasn't a sandwich. But it looked appetizing. Hunks of potato and pork shoulder, tossed in oil, smothered in a pesto type of sauce with a fried egg and sour cream on top. It was delicious. The egg was cooked perfectly, the meat was insanely good. Everything just worked well together.

But.... everything else we ran in to let the place down. I heard the chef came from MAS just down the road so I had higher hopes. But for us, the basics were wrong. You can't mess up a Spanish omelette. I mean you can, but you shouldn't. It's a staple, you need to get it right. It doesn't have to be the best, but it needs to be tasty and there was just nothing pleasant to their version.

Also, the setup before the food was just confusing, hard work and unwelcoming.

I'll give it another try. But today, it missed the mark for us.

Had avacado toast this morning. Delicious food , good coffee, good service. Would definitely go here again.

Underwhelming food and over-priced. That said, staff was very friendly and unique (if unfitting) decor.

Empanadas - beef-forward, good.
Pork Rilette - 2 oz of run of the mill pork for $10. Not acceptable.
Tortilla Española - traditional version, bland, needs salt and more olive oil crispy-deliciousness.
Anchovies - am I supposed to eat these plain? Should be served w grilled baguette.
Artichoke Chèvre - decent, but more like artichoke flavored chèvre. Better w olive oil drizzle.

This is a new Cafe in the old Spudnut cafe location. It is popular almost all the day, it doesn't open until 8 a.m. . Rather unusual for a breakfast venue.
Many customers use the takeout feature and the place is busy in the morning.
I've only been here once and can give a better report in the future.

11$ for a sandwich that consists of 1 piece of bread, a piece of hard bread that could barley be bitten through. This place is over priced for the food you receive. The only thing I liked were the people whom worked there. Don’t come here if your looking to grab a bite to eat before you go into your 10 hour long shift this is not the place for you.

Very rude management! Came here on a whim for a good dessert. My husband asked the lady if they have pies as the menu didn’t list any type of pies, her response was “Are you kidding me?” Worst pie I’ve had. Sorry to say your shop wouldn’t make it in TN with your lack of hospitality!

I suggest that nobody goes here!!! The owner attitude is terrible!! He is very disrespectful he cares about his parking space then his customers, I parked in front of his shop and walked over to YADYS to pick up my clothes first then I was going to stop by and get lunch and he rushed in yadys started yelling saying move now before you get towed!! Never again I have told a lot people do not stop by there ever again!! Do not support his business!! He is awful!!

Been very impressed so far. In a town that is surrounded by farmers of all types, it is exceedingly difficult to find a lunch spot that actually does source high quality ingredients. Outside of Lampo, I was left searching until now! Pricepoint matches quality of ingredients, and portion sizes are what a non-American would consider normal. The homemade biscuit is unquestionably the best in town - mushroom, pork, and octopus dishes are on point.... And that tahini brownie - wow.
