Red Hen Baking

Love their bread, love their sandwiches, but on the day I was traveling through Middlesex I simply didn't have the time to wait in the long line for lunch. I left before being served, and picked up a sandwich in the next town. Probably not the best place to go if you're looking for a quick lunch late in the work week. But if you've got the time, it's definitely worth it.

This is the real deal. Beyond artisan, their bread is simply amazing. Buy more than you think you need because you’ll need it! 😁

They are bread is excellent! My favorite is there seeded baguette, but they are all good.

Very Vermont! Wooden spacious cafe that has amazing pastries and sandwiches. They bake on spot and you can see the bakers working through the glass

We have gotten lunch many times at the cafe. Most of the time we take our order home to eat. Every time the food has been exceptional. Today I ordered a Turkey Gobbler and a loaf of Waitsfield Common. My husband ordered a Turkey sandwich which has lettuce, red onion and cranberry relish. After ordering I returned to our car and my husband waited for the food. When we got home to eat our sandwiches we were surprised and disappointed that (1) the Turkey Gobler was half a sandwich although I had paid for a whole sandwich. (2) my husband’s sandwich had just turkey and lettuce. I love Red Hen Cafe but guess we will have to do a through check on our order before we leave the cafe.

love love loveeeee this place. I used to live in Williston VT & every time we would head south we would always stop here to grab some bread & a quick bite. this time we got the tropical fog latte..... absolutely delicious!!! stopped both on the way up and down just to get that drink. so good!!!

Excellent fresh food. Sandwiches. Bakery, soft drinks. A bit pricey.

We absolutely adore Red Hen Baking! Whenever we drive home to Connecticut from a weekend of skiing at Sugarbush, we try to stop for a late lunch. The sandwiches & lattes are amazing, and we usually bring home something from the pastry case as well. The employees are super friendly and very efficient, and we have always had an excellent experience each time we visit!

The "Balmy" is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The freshness of the ingredients and the flavors mingled together was so divine. The spiciness and tangy flavors combined was so dang enjoyable. Put that in a crunchy baguette and that completes this deliciousness. I had to try this eatery after a friend gave us a loaf of bread from the bakery. The homemade lemonade was so good-real lemonade! Very polite and friendly employees, to top it off!

We are so glad to have this bread delivered fresh to our grocery store several towns and a county away. Going here to see the operation was amazing. The pastries and sandwiches are really, really good and the interior is really attractive.
