Happy workers, quick service, yummy ice cream, and so many choices! Plus we can spend a couple quarters in the machines to get my daughter a cheap little nick-nack or toy and everybody is happy!

Always perfect ice cream cones!

A must if you’re driving through and in need of a sweet treat & bite to eat. Not only is this the cutest little old fashion ice cream & sandwich shop but it’s absolutely amazing in food quality, prices & customer service. Little issues with food availability but not an problem because my party was given great recommendations to other items. My party & I ended up ordering the Pastrami Melt & Chocolate malt, it was a great portion & came with a crunchy pickle, & a refreshing side salad. Can’t wait to come back for more!

Stopped through here on our cross-country trip and this was an adorable, delicious find!! We tried the barbecue chicken panini with the cheddar broccoli soup, and it was SO delicious! To top it off, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Mix that with a little comfort food and you have a home away from home!

They have so many options for food, don't forget to try the ice cream and pie they have to offer! I even spotted a pinto bean pie that has me wondering what kind of delicious danger lies inside the crust.
This place is a must stop! Would absolutely come back through here again!

We had high hopes, as this place came recommended by our campground hosts. However, it was a huge disappointment. This has to be the most disorganized ice cream shop I’ve been to. First, we ordered 2 brownie sundaes and learned you only get to choose one flavor of ice cream for their sundaes. Second, our sundaes never came. They completely forgot about us and served everyone else who came in after us. Is it small-town favoritism? We’re not sure, so we asked for our money back after waiting about 15 minutes. The person in charge— if there was one, as this place seemed to be run by all teenagers— did not even have the guts to come and address our issue. The girl who gave us our money back didn’t know how to process a refund on a credit card so I had to give us back cash. Don’t bother stopping here!

I called in an order for a large amount of hot chocolate for a big group. They were extremely helpful and professional with the entire process. They had the hot chocolate ready on time and even loaded 4 5-gallon containers in my vehicle for me. The hot chocolate was great and I highly recommend The Ideal Dairy!

Great place for early breakfast before our soaking time at Mystic Hot Springs. The breakfast bowl was decadent and the heifer bagel sandwich, made fresh on the premises that morning, was hearty!
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area.

We were looking for a quick breakfast and decided to try the Ideal Dairy. This place is so good! They made us a tasty bagel with veggies and we then decided to stay longer and have ice-cream (why not!). The service is excellent and the place grows on you the longer you stay. I would definitely stop in again!

The prices are pretty high for what you get. The homemade chips were all right, but mine came cold. It's most redeeming quality is its ice cream, which was wonderful. Again, I just wish this place wasn't so expensive. It's good, but I probably would not eat here again.

Clean atmosphere, Disappointing cuisine. It could be my expectations were too high but I ordered the turkey pesto panini and soup. I was very surprised when I unwrapped to find a bagel with bacon and what appeared to be fry sauce. Turkey was present and fairly fresh but it was overpowered by the sauce. it tasted like a hot dog/ pastrami hybrid with fry sauce on a white flour bagel. After that I was hesitant to jump into the soup and after a bite it tasted equally cheap. Cream of broccoli seemed very pasty and mayonnaise-like. I wanted to like this place based on the few comments from others. But after $10 lunch that was less than satisfying, it’s gonna be a “never again” for me, at least for lunch.
To the credit of the business, it is a dairy, not a sandwich shop. The decor was tasteful and the staff was mildly friendly.
