The Ideal Dairy

Disappointed and dangerous. Ordered 4 different flavors of milkshakes. When we got home we realized they had mixed peach, peanut butter, kit kat and brownie all together. Not cool and extremely dangerous since someone in our group has allergies.

I called and talked to the manager explaining that it is dangerous to mix all the flavors together when I didn't ask for that. He told me thats what I ordered and it was my fault. Who puts peach with all those flavors. Manager said that maybe next time I should not come and find a new place to go next time. Hung up on me. I was not asking for a refund nothing but informing but they way they treat me was so rude. This happened jan 19, 2023.

Back in the day (like the 80s-90s) I would stay with my grandparents Usher and Dorothy Henrie during the summers. We would always get ice cream from Ideal Dairy. Then when I started going to girls camp with my LDS ward in Utah County, we would go to the Ideal Dairy and get punch bags for the whole group. They LOVED them. Even now, some of those girls, including me this summer, have been called as camp director and have called my mom to find out how they can get punch bags for their girls camps. They are the BEST frozen and are a fantastic summer treat!

Great shakes. Their pup cup is probably 1/2 a cup of soft serve topped with whipped cream and a milk bone. If you have a small dog, you might ask them to shorten it a bit. Drive through was convenient.

The family needed a quick breakfast before our trip. Ideal Dairy popped up, and they had a drive-thru, which was perfect. We were greeted and recommended their favorite all meat bagel. The bagel was freshly baked and amazing!!

Like many I stopped by on a drive through Utah. I got a panini and did not read the part about being served on bagels, so when it came out I was sceptical. However the panini was one of the better sandwiches I have had. The flavor and texture of the bagel worked perfectly with the aoli and filings. The chocolate malt was also incredible. If I ever am in the are I know where to stop.

Why do you keep a customer in the drive-through line for 20 minutes and when It’s when it’s finally my turn at the window you say “oh I’m sorry, were closed?” Why can’t someone come outside and place a cone or tell us something??? Maybe the owner is not aware of what the employees are doing? This is the second time in a week.

Came from Ogden 3 hours out 3 back over 6 hours driving for ice cream. About 100.00 in gas. I love my family so what the heck. When we said how far we came just to get 🍨 and punch in a bag they were very surprised. They were great to us, the last box of punch bags had been sold so they made more for us. No we didn’t come for family or anything else, just to sit and eat at their store. 🍨😃👍
My wife and kids had fun and that is good enough for me.
The employees were amazing. For me they are what made it worth the drive even more than the ice cream, okay maybe just a little more.
Still the best ice cream.😁

I definitely think they have some of the best shakes that I've ever tasted. Oh and their food is pretty good too. I've brought my sisters here and they both liked it too. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

My family and I stopped in Richfield for a night while traveling through central Utah. After getting dinner we went looking for a little treat. In our experience, rural towns, like Richfield, always have great Milk Shake shops and "The Ideal Dairy" did not disappoint! They have a large selection of hard and soft ice cream options with plenty of flavors to choose from. They've even got old-fashioned malts, which you don't see very often anymore. We ordered shakes, ice cream cones, and a slushee. Everyone loved their selection. The service was friendly and prompt with our orders. We enjoyed them in their quaint, but spacious dining area. Well done, Ideal Dairy!!
