Nightlight Donuts & Coffee
Review of Nightlight Donuts & Coffee
Nightlight Donuts & Coffee is a local donut and coffee shop that has been serving the Woodway community for several years. The shop is open seven days a week from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, making it a convenient spot for a quick breakfast or a late-night snack.
The shop offers a variety of donuts, including unique and seasonal flavors. Customers rave about the croissant donuts, which have a light and flaky texture. The donut holes are also a popular choice and offer great value for money. In addition to donuts, the shop serves coffee and other beverages. The iced mocha latte with oat milk is a customer favorite and is considered the best in town.
The atmosphere of the shop is fun and inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, some customers have mentioned that the service can be slow at times. The prices at Nightlight Donuts & Coffee are a bit higher than other local donut shops, but customers feel that the quality of the donuts justifies the cost.
Overall, Nightlight Donuts & Coffee is a great spot for donut lovers looking for unique and delicious flavors. The shop's convenient hours and friendly staff make it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. If you're in the Woodway area and looking for a sweet treat, be sure to stop by Nightlight Donuts & Coffee.

Nightlight has wonderful donuts (although somewhat inconsistent... somedays they are delicious and fresh, and other times the pastry is tough and I can tell it was not baked recently), and I love that they are so different than regular donuts. However, I have to share my disappointment in the kolaches. I was so excited when I heard Nightlight would offer a savory option, especially because it would incorporate meat from a local BBQ restaurant. However, after paying $11 for two brisket kolaches this morning, I was extremely disappointed to find that the fat had not been trimmed off of the brisket, and about 1/3 of my kolache and my husband's kolaches were pure fat. I can't tell you how gross it was to bite into a somewhat soggy croissant, only to be greeted by fat, and brisket without much flavor. If Nightlight is going to continue charging $6/each for these, the meat inside really needs to be trimmed and delicious. That is a huge expensive for an honestly gross breakfast.

The drip coffee here is better than pourovers most places we have been! We like Intelligentsia coffee. Very very good coffee.

When am I ever disappointed with this place, besides when they're closed? š Not only do I 100% recommend the chocolate with sprinkles, š© but I also suggest you grab a bag of holes, as you'll be pleasantly surprised with what you find.š The kolaches are a bit light on the dough, if you ask me, compared to the amount of quality meat. Next time I plan to get an extra croissant to go with it. š„

Ok...here's my thing...these donuts are great. They taste great, they look great, the staff is great, the coffee is great, but the price is startling. A dozen donuts is THIRTY DOLLARS and if you just want one that'll set you back a little over $3 with tax. I just don't know if they are worth the price...

The donuts are always delicious. Just wish the service was as good.

Pros: friendly. Clean.
Cons: definitely over hyped. Paying 5 dollars for 2 donuts I expected something good. These were under whelming and very disappointing.

Just no. I paid $3.50/Donut and they were not great. For that price, it should have been amazing. It wasnāt fresh, and was not worth the 300% price increase compared to Shipleys. Cool place, nice staff but terrible business model. Just my opinion though. If you love spending high amounts of money on inferior products, then hey you might like this place.
EDIT: I appreciate the kind and inquisitive response. In my opinion, the price would be validated if the donut was made fresh to order. Just being completely honest, my donuts seemed at least hours old. Which, is fair itās a donut shop. However, the price reflected a high quality product and i expected a extremely fresh and tasteful donut. I will admit the donut did taste good, my issue was mainly with the freshness. If you want to charge a higher price - Iām willing to pay - i just want a higher quality product, and for me that day it just didnāt taste/feel like a higher quality product. Just trying to offer constructive criticism. Good luck with your business, and if changes similar to this were implemented i would be happy to visit your business again.

Yes itās āexpensive ā but itās still our favorite since they started for pastries! Hope they bring back the discount gift cards for Christmas! Donāt think āgrab a dozenā type donuts, think coffee and pastry or celebration treat. Worth every penny!

Flavor and selection is definitely a 5-star! Gave 4 stars because of cost. I know their costs are higher because of better quality ingredients but paying double for donuts will keep Nighlight as an occasional treat rather than our go-to.
Love what they are doing and will definitely be back!

$3.25 each/$16.00 for 6/$32.00 for Dozen. This is very bold pricing. You would expect a gourmet donut created individually, curated and conceived by an all star chef. That's not exactly the case. They are just extremely over priced donuts. You are paying for the experience of being seen in a hipster location with improperly brewed coffee. Do not get me wrong, the brand of coffee they use is excellent, it is just not executed correctly here. Don't worry though... you look good walking out when you are carrying that NL brand, if that is your goal.
