Clear Springs Restaurant

1st time going to Clear Springs. Hands down the best onion rings I've had. I also had the chicken fried steak. It was so tender and delicious it practically melts in your mouth. The decor was fun and interesting to look at. The service was great, attentive and friendly! Definitely recommend for a cheat night but not for a healthy person! Mostly fried foods but so good!

Great family restaurant and wait staff. Had fried crawfish, fried mushrooms for appetizers. I had the fish and shrimp platter. Fish was crunchy and tasty. Shrimp were extra large and delicious. Didn't have room for desert but I'll try it next visit for sure.

Ordering the large onion rings was a bad choice. So good. So full. Catfish and shrimp were good

We enjoyed trying out this restaurant! Everything we ordered was good! We had onion rings, chicken salad, shrimp brochette and chicken ella. The onion rings were large and flavorful, it was indeed a must try. The interior of the restaurant was also appealing. I will clearly recommend this to anyone visiting Nacogdoches!

Four of us for supper on a Saturday evening. Large crowd, short wait. For the size of the crowd I felt the service time was reasonable. The food was excellent and I had one of my best ribeyes. They age their steaks and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. The onion rings are a must. Will be back next time in town.

Our party ordered our dinner, and before it arrived we found a bug in one of our drinks, they took care of that immediately. We had ordered a ribeye steak, it came out looked like a fillet mignon and was over cooked, sent it back, dinner was finished before the steak was ready so we had cancel it. My wife and I had tried this restaurant about 13 years ago didn't like it, and we see nothing has changed.

The waitresses were so kind and the food was amazing. Went with my brother and family and had an amazing time. We got the fried pickles for an appetizer and fish and shrimp plate. 10/10

Best onion rings anywhere, and I don't like onions! I had fish tacos and Dad enjoyed chicken fried chicken. He loves their green beans and had a double order for his two sides.

Great place in general to have a casual dinner or lunch, just don't arrive 20 minutes before closing and expecting to be seated and have dinner. Last night I arrived at 8:40 PM and stood at the entrance to be seated, was approached by an employee and most likely a hostess and was asked "Sir may I help you?"

"Yes one please" He then looks at his watch and proceeds to tell me they are closing as to indicate that I was not welcome to have dinner. I guess they are closing virtually 20 minutes before posted closing time of 9PM.

I have eaten here a couple times locally, and over all great, but lets shorten the frame of actual time open. I have to say Clear Springs locally is less customer service than the Clear Springs in Clear Springs TX, south of New Braunfels.

So nice to have great customer service......

We enjoyed the restaurant but the service was bad. I think we got a new guy that just didn't know his way around yet.
