Beautiful building inside and out. Great staff and the food was very delicious! We will definitely visit this place again when we drive through town!!

The best East Texas Food!

Usually east Texas puts a lot of sugar in their cooking, it was so nice to taste slaw, beans, catfish ... all tasty and cooked perfectly.

Fast, friendly enough and priced fairly.

... no they won’t sell the old antiques inside, darn.

We will be back for sure!

A great place. Food is consistent. It was just a bit expensive, but it is worth it.

Later: Do not order cocktail shrimp. Quality is not great. The size is not jumbo. IF THEY CHARGE THAT MUCH, I EXPECT SOME QUALITY. SO DISAPPONTED. IT WAS ALMOST RIP OFF.

Fortunately, I talked to the manager. She took care of issues. I am keeping 5 stars about the restaurant, but my advice stands, "Stay away from cocktail shrimp." All other menus I tried were usually great. It is still one of the decent restaurants in this town.

This place had some great food and friendly atmosphere. The only thing I would change is to add some seating for those waiting to get in the place. We came on a Sunday in the middle of COVID-19. There were absolutely no other restaurants open in Nacogdoches, Texas except for fadt food joints. There is room to put a row of benches outside the building, on the poach area. We stood outside fried before our meal. The chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes was most excellent. I highly recommend the place.

Sorry guys you didn't hit the mark at all. The catfish and crawfish was horrible. Over cooked and over corn crusted in overheated grease. The onion rings tasted good. Service was good as well. So that was on the cook. They did offer to redo it and I turned it down gracefully. I don't think I would come back it doesn't have enough vest. But I won't say not to go yourself. Might have been a bad day.

Shrimp was great so was the hushpuppies waiter was so nice a guy even payed for our lunch gave us 60 and we used not but 20 and gave the other 40 to a lady and her mom also the total came out to $70.45 for 4 people also we payed the rest of it another way

I had a lunch special with a cup of gumbo, fried shrimp, hushpuppies, and fries. The gumbo had more vegetables than I expected but the flavor was good. Great service!

The fried craw-fish tails were quite good as was the fish and chips. I had the chicken fried steak which I will not order again, it was bland and the batter did not stick to it.

Atmosphere and service were excellent but I wasn't a fan of the food. Everything was slightly spicy which I wasn't expecting. The onion rings are fantastic though.

Had a graduation luncheon with friends and family. The food was spectacular and the service was great. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
