This place is awesome. Walking up to it I just feel the history that has gone through this building. We were greeted and seated very properly. Ordered a basket of the world famous onion rings and they were good. The batter was light and stuck to the thick onion ring. I recommend you get the famous onion rings.
I had the catfish and shrimp combo basket with coleslaw, pinto beans, and french fries. Those Pinto beans and claw slaw were very tasty. I will definitely be there to order catfish and/or steak. I highly recommend you stop by clear springs in Nacogdoches Texas.

Onion rings are by far the best, "note" Texas sizes is for like 8 people...😬 Had a burger and it was really good and juicy. Grilled chicken look good on another table, I'll have to come back. Rate 3 star just because of the wait time for the food and was not too busy for 30 minutes to get 2 burgers. Servers need to ve more attentive with customers drinks too. But would definitely return!

A very pleasant surprise we bumped into. The decor is really cool, the burger, fries and tea were good. Kiddos loved their chicken tenders and the salmon salad was okay. They have a family restroom and changing table. The restrooms ought to be cleaner.

Been here before about 3yrs ago before Covid-19, and a last minute idea to take a drive from SulphurSprings, Tx, it was a 100% join decision to try the scenic 2 hour drive to Clear Springs Restaurant in Nacogdoches, TX for their Seafood Menu. Decent prices for generous portions with great tasting Seafood, is worth the time and drive!

A couple of friends of mine told me about this restaurant and i was very impressed. It was amazing. We were greeted and seated very quickly. Our waitress was very quick and informative. We ordered their famous onion rings, and they were so good. So were their fried pickles and mozzarella sticks. I highly recommend you get the famous onion rings!!
I had the chicken fried steak with fries and steamed Broccoli. Everything was very tasty. I will definitely be there to order again. I highly recommend you stop by Clear Springs in Nacogdoches. You won't be disappointed :)

Large and well decorated restaurant. We were 6 adults in business trip. We took a fried onion that was ok. A gumbo soup that was excellent and fried catfish/sea food that was also ok. Not sure why the rating is so high. Maybe we did not select the best dishes?
Overall not very impressed. Even the service was very long despite the fact that the restaurant was not packed.

I was in town visiting and decided I'd give them a try. The building seems to have been some sort of old warehouse or train station...not really sure but its seems to have some history behind it. I must say that I was impressed and my food was actually good. I had the "lil buddy" which is 3 fish strips, 3 shrimp, cole slaw, hush puppies, fries, and pinto beans. I also ordered a side of hush puppies which were disappointing...they were overcooked almost burnt! I will definitely go back again whenever I'm in town! Oh, let me not forget the prices...you can't go to too many places and get a plate like that for $16!!

The food was absolutely delicious. There were 6 of us. 5 of us ordered the Catfish and one ordered the cheeseburger and fries. The Catfish was amazingly seasoned. You get a good sized portion, but it was still a bit expensive in my opinion. I am told the cheeseburger was great as well. I take one star away due to the service received. Our table wasn't checked on regularly. It took forever to have our drink order taken. When she came back she asked if we would be interested in an appetizer. We ordered one, but then she immediately walked away and stayed gone for quite a while. We got our appetizer, and then she came back when it was gone to take our meal order. The restaurant was not at all that busy, but maybe there was a more pressing issue going on on the other side of the restaurant that we could not see. Either way, it would have meant more to us to have been told or given an apology for the long absences. We felt a bit forgotten about. Overall, I would definitely come again and just hope for better service the next time. It is a bit expensive, but the portions are large enough to share with another person if budgeting is a practice for you.

We had a great time at dinner. We both had the salmon salad and happy hour beers with a side of fries.

Second time here and this far exceeded the first dining experience. Decided to have an old fashioned burger with fries but first a "must have" order of onion rings! Perfection.
Burger with fries was delish. But the best was the Cheesecake although the frozen strawberries tarnished the overall quality. Perhaps a strawberry puree syrup would be better? Just a thought.
Our server was extraordinary! Thank you for making our day.
