And today, I followed myself to Ascension Coffee - Crescent City, and the face of Ascension today, our existential guide, was Nancy. She was clever and charming and delightful.

Ascension is fabulous, with a downtown hipster, bohemian, yet sophisticated vibe.

You should follow your road to Ascension and transcend!

First time coming to Ascension with my best friend and we had a great time. I don't drink coffee much but my server recommended a white chocolate mocha and it was fantastic! Food was delicious as well, took a bit to come out once we ordered but I think it was worth the wait. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone because the atmosphere was great and our server Nancy was attentive, making sure we had everything we needed despite how busy the restaurant was. Will be coming back for brunch this weekend !

An incredible craft coffee shop and restaurant. Parking was a bit tricky but there’s a garage for self parking. You can come in and grab a cup just like you would any other coffee shop or grab a table and “dine in.” I tried their cup of excellence pour over, a Guatemalan, and a lavender latte for my drinks.

The pour over was one if not the best I have had from a speciality shop. The cup was balanced and really hit the notes of apricot, lemoncello, and sugarcane. Absolutely delicious.

The lavender latte was excellent as well and one of the best I have had. Presentation was excellent as was the service.

I tried the chocolate croissant which was very good and the croque madame open face egg brunch item. It was very good as well. For the coffee alone I’ll be back and probably end up getting a bag or two of beans as well as a mug at some point. Support your local Dallas roasters!

Two words for this place ..basic and bland ...

I asked for them to make my potatoes crispy, I sent them back not once but twice, they “re-cooked” them twice and still brought them back soggy saying this (photo) was the best they could do, on top of charging me an additional $1.50 for the special instructions. If your looking for a hearty feel good brunch you can save your time, not the ideal place.

This has been one of my favorite coffee shops since I’ve moved to Dallas. I love the drip coffee and haven’t found anything on the menu I didn’t like. I recently had the wagyu hash ordered for me, which I normally wouldn’t pick on my own because I’m not a fan of sweet potatoes, but they complimented all the other flavors perfectly. Highly recommend for a breakfast date!

After hearing such great things about Ascension, I wanted so badly to like this place. Sadly, things went downhill from the very start. The server either blatantly ignored us or forgot about us, I like telling myself the latter. In any case, after 30 minutes, we still hadn’t got our coffees or placed our food order. Eventually after 45 min of waiting, our food arrived cold. The server made excuses instead of offering a sincere apology. She (short bob with bangs) was curt and lacked any remorse. Let’s just say we won’t be back.

Could be so much better. Pancakes with strawberries and blueberries, 3/4 of one strawberry and 6 blueberries! Bacon and egg role with BBQ sauce looked liked they’d run out of sauce and scraped the lid of the bottle. Pancakes and bun were both slightly burnt.

Flavors were nice.

The waiter had the audacity to preselect 20% as a tip! When asked how was everything the waiter walked off as I started taking.

Absolutely love this place! The coffee offered here is some you won't find anywhere else. The salted vanilla cream Latte was incredible! The Poki Poki was also amazing. It is basically their version of nitro cold brew but it's way better! The food was delicious. Loved the healthy options offered. Staff was all very nice and helpful.

I love Ascension. My server Arthur was spectacular. He was patient and overwhelmingly accommodating. I changed my tea order twice due to sweetness and finally found one I liked. He never made me feel like an inconvenience even when I was just here to work. I can’t say enough.
