Ascension Coffee - Crescent Court

Visited for brunch and it didn’t disappoint! We got seated very quickly and the service was okay. I ordered a chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the French toast. We were both satisfied with the flavors. We accompanied it with chorizo fries and mimosas. Definitely will be coming back to try their coffee and other dishes.

I’ve been here three times already and I love the ambience of the restaurant and location in general. Even though it’s located Uptown, the area still doesn’t feel super busy. The restaurant is very cozy and there’s open seating. The servers are prompt upon you sitting and are very cognizant about the time of when to check in on your table. The food is really good, but leans more toward healthier/clean eating. The portion sizes are just enough to fill you up & I appreciated that. The prices are very reasonable for the location. The only downside is parking, which is valet in front of the shop or in a garage on the backside the shop. If you go on the weekend, there’s a flat parking fee of $10 in the garage. It’s also difficult to know how to get to the coffee shop from the garage if you’ve never been here before due to there being no visible signs to guide you. However, I was able to locate the elevators that take you to the coffee shop.

What a great cafe for breakfast! I loved the chic interior and vibes off the bat. Service was quick and friendly that just involved sitting where there’s space. For a place downtown, the price is very reasonable and quality really good! I especially loved the latte(with art) and eggs Benedict. Stop by and try this place out!

The coffee was really good, and so was the food. Came here after our first choice was closed and I'm so happy fate worked out the way it did. The service was great and I will definitely come back. Oh, also learned that all the famous people who come into stay across the street, so you might be able to see Megan Fox the next time you're here.

I frequent Ascension every time I come into town for business the food and coffe are fantastic. For the past couple months I’ve noticed a difference in service, my usual waiter, Eric, has always done a fantastic job at checking up on me but I’ve noticed not only him but other waiters check up on me or say hello as well. The service has changed and all around atmosphere has a better vibe, like a well oiled cog. I would recommend Ascension to all that live in or visit Dallas Picture because it’s delicious

The service was really good, our waiter was helpful and kind. The interior is stylish but it pretty noisy and crowded with tables very close together - so I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking to relax or for a chill casual environment. All the food we ordered was tasty though. The coffee was flavored very well without being overly sweet.

I go to Ascension very often because I live a 5 minute walk away. For the first time I tried the chicken sandwich. The texture of the chicken was very very off.

A common way to add juiciness and flavor to chicken is to brine it. This is a great technique until it’s not. Too much brining results in a very strange texture, imagine a juicy plump piece of rubber. That’s what happened to this chicken.

Please taste test your brining procedure for your chicken, it’s an issue.

Well appointed breakfast (brekky) and coffee house with fresh roasts and unique menu items. Garage parking but they validate. Jordan was a great and friendly server. Really liked some of the unique menu offerings that you don’t typically find elsewhere. Generous coffee servings

Inside the hotel, the space is relaxing and quiet. I ordered their new item on the menu. Asian noodle bowl, the kale and noodles omg was so delicious and rich. The chicken could have used more seasoning but overall was delicious. WiFi and validated parking for those who want to bring their laptops to work.

Very delicious chia seed pudding and loved the outdoor seating area too. Definitely a friendly place to grab a bite really quick or dine in and take out too.
