Redbud Cafe

My wife and I drove up from San Antonio with some friends to have lunch but to our disappointment we discovered that the restaurant was closed. This we would have known had we bothered to check on Google. Luckily the manager was standing outside the front door and took mercy on us. He brought us into the restaurant and let us order any thing from the menu we wanted. That is what I call good service. Besides the service, the food was excellent with generous portions. AMAZING PLACE!!!

Visited Red Bud several times...Sandwiches are large & tasty. Meatloaf sandwich is wonderful...Veggie Burger, too. For a unique taste try the Pimento Cheese Sandwich (if daring).

Day trip to Austin stopped in for lunch. Cafe offers sandwiches, soups, Burgers, fish, variety of food and desserts.

Blanco is starting to become more and more popular with folks wanting to escape the city. There were tons of folks on motorcycles day tripping around the square. We had stopped in for lunch and tried to order food. They had the line roped off where you had to go to the register to order. There were plenty of choices of things you could order on the menu, along with a big assortment of baked goods. The line was moving quickly as folks were placing their orders and it looked like there were plenty of tables to be had. One of the workers came out and announced to everyone that it was going to be a 45 minute wait for food if we decided to stay and order. Looking around, I could see empty tables and the line moving quickly, we ended up leaving confused and disappointed.

You would figure if this is such a popular place they would have it down to science getting people in and out. I was not sure if they were just short handed for a Sunday or not. The next time I am in the area, I will try to give them a second chance as we were really looking forward to checking this place out.

Great food, great drinks and everyone was friendly will definitely be back!

The spinach quiche I had was salty and there weren't very many veggies... what was in it had risen to the top. The past salad was good.
