I've been going here for years to get coffee and muffins. My life wouldn't be the same without Rao's. Their ice cream like snack is quite good as well.
Oh, they also have outdoor seating which is always nice.

UPDATE: They are claiming my experience isn't real. In fact it is, and my bank statement from Mobiloil goes back years to prove that I had only been there once (due to the experience) in the years of growing up and living in the area. Also that this was the ONLY location I had visited, so I am not mistaking it for another.
Unless you have another location across the street from Parkdale that served cookies that tasted like cardboard, coffee that never came, a barista who rolled her eyes when confronted, and a manager that never made it right???
Whether it was years ago or yesterday is irrelevant. It doesn't lessen the unpleasant experience that I did have. And it appears that the manager (or management if the manager I spoke with is no longer there) is still terrible. So my review still holds much relevance. Also review sites weren't as common those years.
And I do recommend anyone who experiences medical discrimination to sue. Yes. And I will be finding anyone who has been or is and contributing to their legal expenses to see that justice prevails.
Also, if using medically acceptable terms is foul, then that just adds to your ignorance.
Lastly, is it true that you tried encouraging an employee from exposing that she tested positive for Covid-19 to keep it from negatively impacting your business, and by doing so may have caused potential transmission to others or at the very least prevented those who they may have contacted from being made known? Because this would only add further to the medical discrimination suit and would ensure a win. Either way, no need to answer and feel free to lie, as this would be easy to uncover through subpoena and discovery to list any active employees throughout the entire time of Covid-19 and reveal any Positives (or known exposures) from there, if it comes to that.

Ate here once a while back. Is wasn’t that good, and the manager was rude.
Will not be returning and will continue recommending friends to never go.

I ordered a Birthday cake for my husband’s 65 birthday. I got the Debashe cake. I would recommend this cake to everyone it is amazing not to sweet. It has pudding in between the layers. It turned out beautiful! Thank you Rao’s!

I have been frequenting Rao's since moving to the area a little over a year ago. In my experience, service has always been a bit slow, and they are definitely not cheap. I have always loved their specialty coffees and bakery items, though, so I usually don't mind waiting and paying a little extra.
Since earlier this fall my experiences have not been as great. I strictly use the drive thru now because of Covid, and I have sometimes waited fifteen minutes even when there's only one other person in line. Even more upsetting is the fact that my drinks are have been messed up about every other time over the last few weeks. I eliminated almost all animal products from my diet long ago, and I have been given regular milk in my drinks multiple times despite asking for an alternative. Good thing I'm not allergic to dairy 🤷🏼♀️
Not saying I'll never go back, but I'm definitely going to give it a few months before trying again.

They raised the price off each coffee by almost $1. Since when does inflation have to do with mediocre coffee? Makes no sense..

Your Italian cream cakes are always wonderful.
I would’ve given you five stars but the two incompetent employees working the “barista counter” took 20 minutes as Laurel & Hardy tried to decide how to do two shots for espresso. Stop hiring kids and hire people with common sense.

It's a timeless place with awesome Dancing Goat coffee.
I've been going to Raos for over 13 years now and I still love it. I actually prefer Rao's over Starbucks. Their cheesecake is my favorite, smooth, heavy, sweet. Only one time has the cheesecake been a disappointment.

Came in on a whim after seeing a sign for a piecaken. We had to serve our own coffee and all three carafes were empty. I paid ten bucks for a piece of pie and 4 bucks for black coffee and there was no coffee. The ignored my husband and after 15 minutes the carafes were brought out. The piecaken was good. The coffee stunk. Even the fresh coffee tasted like warm water. This place needs adult supervision. The children working here could care less.

My first visit to a Rao's. What a wonderful, appealing plethora of selections! Great atmosphere for friends to meet up and catch up on the latest!

They no longer have any placards in the main pastry, cake, or cookie cases - making it hard to identify the products. Plus, no displayed menu and no pricing lends an air of deception to the business. When you ask the servers more than two questions, they get short-tempered and the people in line begin to grumble at the delay. All-in-all a thoroughly unpleasant experience.
