Rao's is a Beaumont classic known for its coffees and bakery items. It's the perfect place for a meeting, to get your heavy thoughts flowing or just to clear your mind. Their wonderful coffee selection will get your day off to a flavorful stsrt.

One of Beaumont's finest! Excellent coffee, cakes, cannoli, sweets in general.. Upscale quality. I like the tuxedo mocha as cappuccino or ice coffee. Relaxed atmosphere if you want to sit a while. Employees always treat me well. Nice place to cure a sweet tooth!

Got to start with the good: raos has always been a go to for ice cream and coffee for sure, recently my wife and I tried the cheesecake and it is literally one of the best I ever had. The bad: today we had a personal red velvet cake and pumpkin pie slice and both were actually terrible. I wish I was being dramatic but the red velvet cake was stiff like a dried out piece of bread that had been in a fridge for many weeks. I took the cake back up to the counter and let the cashier know and they brought another cake that was only slightly less stiff. Picture having to use two hands to push a fork through a cake! The pumpkin pie had a crust that was not even cooked. It was all around a disappointing experience and I always had high expectations of this place. I will give 3 stars because they at least have given me good service and until today everything has been delicious

I am SO tired of this place.

It takes 5 - 15 minutes to get your drink, with tip it’s always $7 +, and about a third of the time the order is wrong.

I just can’t do this anymore. McDonalds is across the street at 1/3 the price with the coffee you ordered, the way you ordered it and promptly served.

WARNING TO ANY PARTY ROOM RENTERS!

I had my baby shower here on the April 8th and these people basically ruined it. I reserved their party room back in January for $50. The day of the party I arrived 30 minutes early to decorate. (That's all the time they allow) I went to the counter to let them know I was here for my Baby Shower, and they looked confused and said they didn't have a party from 4-6. When two week prior my sister went in and ordered my food and cake!! Rao's had absolutely NOTHING ready! They threw my cake together, and drew some deranged bunny on it (it looked like a stoned half cat half bunny..I am not joking) and it was nothing like what I ordered. I went in the party room to decorate and it was 78 degrees in there and remained that way for the entire party!! I'm 35 weeks pregnant! I'm just going to list what happened next... 1. The server was 45 minutes late. 2. The food was late. 3. I asked for extra time and was rushed because there was a party after mine. 4. No apology from manager. 5. Offered a small discount when they should of taken at least half off imo.. I will never do business with these people again. I spent months trying to get every detail perfect for my first baby shower, and lot of money was spent, ($800 total decorations included) only to be ruined in 2 hours! Thanks for dropping the ball Rao's Bakery! Never again..

1 star because the cake was good but the rest of the experience was bad. Horrible customer service. I have been going to midcounty Raos for years and they are wonderful. We stopped at the Dowlen one to pick up a cake for an occasion, and had a horrible shopping experience. The employee didn’t want to help and was just standing there. When we asked her for help in selecting the cake, she didn’t want to help. It was important for us to know what’s inside the cake because of someone having cashew allergies. She didn’t know what was in it but she acted like it and told us lie. Good thing there weren’t cashews in that cake, just walnuts. Worst of all she had an attitude that she knows it all and argued with me. And in the end she was wrong, but didn’t apologize or didn’t want to get the manager either. She argued with me about my Raos reward points and didn’t want to redeem them and put new ones on and she didn’t do it upon my asking over and over. In the end, I got tired of explaining and arguing with her because she didn’t want to listen so I gave up and was ready to leave the place to never go back again. Raos have delicious desserts but I don’t recommend going to the Dowen location.

One more review for this place not only sell the best cakes in town, but the decoration is a masterpiece♥️

Very very yummy! We tried a bunch of the pastries and the Jamaican coffee ...all firsts for us. Fantastic. The whole store was decorated so beautifully. If you need a Christmas themed gift, I recommend them for their uniqueness. And I highly recommend the desserts!

Great desserts 🍨 but I would really like to say that it would be great if you put the names of your delicious desserts.
