Grain Theory

This was our first visit to Grain Theory. They have very good social distances practices in place. The selection of beer was okay. Food options were good. We had the fries with beer cheese and they were prepared well.
I wish we had more time to explore their menu but this was just a pass through stop and it was quick.

To be honest, I rarely find a business worth posting a review for - good or bad. But Grain Theory is a fantastic place to eat or drink. Great coffee, great food, and even better beer. Excellent customer service and a wonderful building. Very happy to have gone and will absolutely be back.

Looked great and someone put a lot of money into the place. Not a huge beer selection. The fish and chips were sub par.

Worst part is there is Zero service. Nice looking place but when you have to go get your food, go get your drinks every time what is the point of being nice. Might as well be a food truck if you're going to have zero service. Hopefully the next tenants of the space make it amazing

Not an IPA guy. However, the dark IPA is very well balanced. Even if you are not a dark beer fan or an IPA conisuer, you won't want to miss this IPA gem.

Such a great spot!! Plenty of indoor seating, with prime tables outside along the balcony. The food menu pars well with beer. I split a fish & chips and pretzel bites with my husband--the portions were big and taste great. Now, the beer. Wow. Lots of really good brews and variety of styles (wheat, milk, stout, IPA...). I suggest opening a tab so you have access to the pour room, and you can pour your own drinks. It allows you to taste all their brews (since they don't offer flights) and linger with friends. I am excited to return!! A great addition to downtown.

The food is amazing and the beer compliments it perfectly. The fish and chips are better than anything we’ve ever had and the loaded frites are SO good. Order the biltong on top- perfect beefy goodness. The mustard and the cheese with the pretzel bites are perfect and the bratwurst was awesome. Try all the sauces, they are great. We just knew this was going to be the coolest place around and it absolutely is!

What a wonderful new addition to Downtown Abilene. The food was amazing! The drink selections were phenomenal and everything was top notch. I will definitely be coming back again. The steak, chicken and fish were prepared perfectly, and the sauce choices for the frites....AMAZING!!
