Grain Theory

I was hungry so I didn’t take a photo. I had the fish + chips, gtx002 (beer), and GT sauce. It’s all gone. I’ll be back.

I went to 5 bars one night and by far this one was my favorite. Drinking a beer on a balcony on the second floor gave me a really calm and good feeling while up there. The staff was very nice and helpful helping me pick out a craft beer that suited me. Overall a very good experience.

Great beer, better tasting beers than other breweries in town. I've been here several times either with my family and kids or just with friends and it continues to get better. Fish and chips was my favorite food item and we tried everything on the menu. 😆

First visit and will be back again. Incredible building and atmosphere at Grain Theory. For lunch I ordered Fish and Chips...wonderful and a large portion. (Actually split order with someone) Personally had a glass of wine with lunch and others with me had beer or coffee. Cannot wait till I go back and try something else.

I love Grain Theory as much for the food as the brews. These guys have changed the shape of downtown Abilene in a great way. Its a cant miss.

Had and absolutely wonderful experience. Great beer, and a super friendly staff! Will be returning next time I'm in Abilene.

Nice brewery in small town Abilene, Texas. I ordered the GTX002 a light beer and it was good, I only needed one before a buzz. We ordered the fish and chips which was perfectly battered and I substituted for a side salad which was amazing with the pickled red onion🤤 small menu but selection is interesting, I enjoyed the sauces I tried the jalapeno goddess and that was kicking on fish. I would come again to try another menu item. Clean Restaurant and facility. Stop in downtown Abilene to the Grain Theory for a fancy lunch or snack, you won't be disappointed.

As a self proclamation connoisseur of beer who's traveled far and wide to try many brews, coming back to my home town and finding a place like this warms the heart. This place is fantastic. Though small in variety right now, they're all very delicious. BUT the ciders they have are by far the best I've ever had. A must try!

Stellar brewery in downtown Abilene. Great beers for all tastes. International sausage platter is heavenly. The Brewmasters, Chefs, and Sauceologists are to be commended. Can’t recommend this more! Fish and chips are very good. It’s a small menu but everything is very good!!! Don’t mess with perfection. Love Grain Theory. A gem in downtown Abilene.

The Grain Theory beers were excellent, including the traditional German Märzen and Festbier. The single hop Simcoe was extremely fragrant and smelled like a hop field. My wife got the grain bowl to eat and loved all of it. I got the sausage roll and didn’t love it, but I think this was more of a personal preference than a badly made meal. The fries/frites that came with the meals were just perfect.
