Stopped in for a quick bite on a cold morning shopping trip, found some of the best coffee I'd had in a long time. The atmosphere was very calm, seems like a great place to sit and enjoy some conversations between friends. The food was really good too. I had the fish and chips, I really like it, they gave me more fries than I could eat 😆, I love that. Definitely looking forward to going back and partaking in some adult beverages next time.

Awesome place to have drinks & dinner with a wonderful relaxing vibe & nice decor. They have a good selection of beer to choose from. For dinner we had the fish and chips which was very good. It also has an outside balcony. This was my first time here but won’t be my last. Will be back next time we are in town.

Had a fantastic time here. They have great outdoor and indoor space and seats. There’s also plenty of great tasting beers. The service was great! I had lots of questions about the beer and was able to sample before placing the drink order. The food was great too!

This is my first experience with Grain Theory brunch. I'd heard they had the best fish and chips in Abilene and there was no denying that. The batter had a great crunch to it that you could tap on with your fork and enjoy. The fish was juicy, fresh, and flaky. Definitely the best in Abilene and maybe some of the best in the entire state. Also ordered at the table was the breakfast Frites. The bratwurst was amazing and just the right consistency, and the sunny side up egg gave everything a great flavor. Food servings were plentiful, and we couldn't finish (the beer we ordered didn't help with finishing the meal). All in all would recommend as a must stop in downtown Abilene.

Fish Stewarding

We popped in for a meeting and a beer and ended up staying for dinner. The lighter Pilsner had a great flavor and taste while not being overwhelming or having an after taste that stays with you. The fish was soft and fried just right for us. We also went the route of a whole bunch of items from the pretzels to the smaller app plates and found they really made for a nice night. The outdoor seating is great and the team there is on top of things.

We travel for work all across the country and Grain Theory was our favorite place in Abilene. They have a variety of styles of beer and they were all delicious. We also had the international sausage tray. I didn’t get a pic before digging in, but we all thought it was awesome. The space has a nice ambiance too. I’d definitely recommend this brewery!

We used Grain Theory for my son's rehearsal dinner before his wedding. Ky and the rest of the Grain Theory team made it an amazing event. From meeting with Ky and Chef Rob to plan, to settling up the bill at the end of the night, everyone at Grain Theory was so helpful and took care of EVERYTHING we possibly needed. They were even hosting 2 other groups that night, on top of their customers there for dinner. Never once did I feel like they weren't able to handle the crowds, and were as attentive to our group as if we were the only ones there. And I haven't even mentioned the food -- it was amazing! Grain Theory is perfect for lunch with friends, date night dinner, or helping you host an event. Highly recommend.

I would drive hours just for the breakfast tacos!! Oh wait, I did! I live in Australia and come to Dallas for work, but my time in Texas MUST include a trip to Grain Theory. Although known for the most creative, refreshing, and smooth beers, the food is OFF THE CHARTS DELICIOUS!! It’s beyond more-ish… leaves you wanting for more of the amazing flavours. Definitely worth the drive from Dallas!! And the flight from Aus x
The cinnamon latte is a delightful holiday coffee treat!

I didn’t love this establishment. The good you get and the prices you pay were not equal. It taste great but was lacking. The atmosphere is beautiful! Perfect space to meet and fellowship with friends or happy hour. I don’t be back to eat but the drinks were ok!

Downtown Abilene deliciousness. A great place to eat in Downtown Abilene. Outdoor seating was nice but one side of the building is VERY sunny.

Fish and chips were crisp and filling. I got the larger portion that came with two pieces.
