Grain Theory

Beers were good and atmosphere is nice. My problem is the staff. I stopped in on my way from Dallas to Carlesbad as I am a brewer and try most breweries on my travels. My issue comes from their beer to go policy. They charge one price for one can, but give a discount if you buy 4, so I tried all their beers and chose 4 for the road. Problem came when they did not give me the discount. I asked why and they said because I mixed the selection. I asked why that mattered as the cooler was all singles and I got a dismissive "because my boss said". I asked to speak to the "boss" and was told he wasn't there. I then asked to speak with anyone in charge and was told there was no one. I believe companies should cater to their customers, and this one clearly does not. They got the last of my hard earned money, I will support other businesses that respect their clientele.

UPDATE - true to his word the owner reached out to me to personally discuss this issue. I feel he responded sincerely and respectfully. As such, I am revising this review from 2 stars to 4 as my experience with personnel at the business has been addressed to staff and hopefully will not be repeated with other customers.

This place has a great atmosphere to it. With an interesting selection of wine, beer, and bubbles.

The beer was fantastic, love to see places working on high quality pils and lagers. Food was decent and has a little room for improvement but the drinks more than made up for it.

Out of town visiting. I got the cowboy cookie. It kinda reminded me of the Debbie oatmeal creme pies cookies, super good brew. Staff was super friendly. Definitely recommend this one if you like to visit new breweries when you're traveling.

Perfect place for lunch. My favorite is the chicken quinoa bowl.

Great atmosphere, beer cheese is on point! However, myself and a few others got the Mediterranean grain bowl and it was terrible. The grains weren’t cooked, they were just raw.

This place was off the chain!!! I’m not usually a beer guy and came for the food but the beer was amazing. The food was outstanding. My wife and I were super happy about our meals AND our beer! Definitely try the fish and chips!!

Lovely view from the outside deck. The beer, cheery hints, was very refreshing. My nephew loved the beer mac and cheese, and the fish and chips were very good. The bratwurst my son loved, but thought the South African sausage was a bit dry. My only complaints, the music in the dinning room, was way to loud, and a suggested minimum tip of 18%, when you stand in line to order, have to get your water and tea, and pick up your meal, is a bit high., should be 10%. The staff is great, helpful and friendly though. A good night..

This is one of my favorite places In abilene, the employees are always so helpful and the food / drinks are fantastic!
