Cafe Strudel West Columbia

Great atmosphere, service, and food. I went for breakfast solo on the morning of a job interview and am from out of town, but it turned out to be the perfect place to relax and gear up at the same time. Took it as a good sign that a local LEO was dining there (pretty sure someone picked up his tab). Only reason I give fewer than five stars is that my delicious cinnamon short stack did not taste 100% scratch made, and the syrup didn't taste like real maple (was served with a skin on it, apparently having been microwaved). Felicia was an excellent, attentive, friendly server.

Met my sister for breakfast. I had the French toast with scrambled egg and bacon and she got the breakfast bowl. My French toast was great, the scrambled eggs seemed watery but the bacon was good too. My sister enjoyed her meal and took about half of it home. Service was great 👍 coffee is self service but them were out of cream 😔. All in all it was a good breakfast and we will be visiting again.

Maybe Tuesday was an off day, but the experience was not up to Cafe Strudel standards.

The coffee bar is cute and has great flavors. On this day, the coffee was wondered down and lacked flavor. I tried two flavors and gave up after that. The server took the coffee bar charge off our bill.

I absolutely love the hangover hashbrowns. On this day, the hasbrowns were crispy on top and completely "light skinned" on the bottom meaning just warmed with no crispy. The ingredients were thrown on with no flavor. I added my own salt and pepper to get some type of taste.

I ordered a cup of grits with cheese. No lie, the cup had 1 scoop of grits enough for 2 eating spoon worth of grits while my friend had her cup filled. I brought it to my server's attention and ahead had another cup brought to my table. Much better but still needed to be salted and peppered.

Overall, the server was nice, the chill vibe was great, but the food was mehhhhhhh.

I let the server know and she said she would let the kitchen know.

I wanted to bring a group of 10 for brunch but I'm nervous about the quality now.

My husband and I had been talking about coming here for months. Finally did this weekend!

The food is outstanding, if they say 1.5 hr wait, check the bar for seats. Honestly I still don't see why it was that long of a wait when they had empty seating, but get a mimosa for sure....

I found this place on Yelp, and it was great. I got the cinnamon pancakes, and they were the best pancakes I have ever had hands down. The fresh squeezed OJ was delicious, and the service was good. We really enjoyed our experience here and would highly recommend.

Overpriced for below average food, my hang over hash browns were just a ball of grease and mounds of cheese. Only reason this place is popular is because it’s “trendy”. 0/10

We LOVE this place! They nail it every time. Try the specialty lemonades. It will set you back $5 and they refused to give it to me with no ice. It's like I don't want ice and you're forcing me to have it??? Insane.
But, the food is delicious, Victoria is awesome and we just went yesterday.

I really wanted to like this place. Don't worth it avocado toast. Almost no avocado on it. My food came out with residual food on part of the dishes from some other meal. Additionally the tire establishment is not clean. No utensils on the table with our food. I wasn't going to write a review since I don't live in this town and it was a one-time thing but the icing on the cake was when the server brought change when we paid that would only allow a huge over tip. Which of course did not work on me because we got change. My gut feeling is this place was once really nice and the concept is good but I think it's horribly mismanaged right now. It really needs a good cleaning from top to bottom and staff needs retraining.

Excellent food, great service. French Toast with fresh fruit and a really tasty take on Shrimp and Grits with a Bloody Mary based gravy.
