Cafe Strudel West Columbia

Cool atmosphere. This was my second time here and again it did not disappoint. Their smoked salmon omelet might be the best omelet I've ever had. Service was a little slow and random but not enough to change my rating. Can accommodate gluten free and vegan diets too. Definitely worth the drive out to the WeCo area!

The wait was little more than 30 minutes, which seems to be typical for a Sunday. Our server was very sweet and the food was delicious. Definitely the best brunch I've had in awhile

I can't even begin to say how amazing this place is! To start, the service was absolutely amazing. Our server was super sweet and attentive. The food was AWESOME! We ordered the duck fat fry basket, seafood mac and cheese, and duck nachos. Let me tell you, the duck fat fries are TO DIE FOR! The seafood mac was delicious and creamy and the duck nachos were awesome as well! My boyfriend and I are passing through Columbia on our way to TN and also in search of a prospective town to move to in the future. Needless to say, our experience was an absolute pleasure and this cafe was a fantastic example of the town that it's in. Thank you guys so much for the fantastic experience!

The best restaurant I've been to in a really long time! Brooke is a FABULOUS server and really made our visit worthwhile. Can't wait to go back!

We arrived at Cafe Strudel at 1 pm on Sunday August 21 for our granddaughters birthday and the six of us fed included a toddl and weretold that the wait was 30 minutes, but we ended up waiting an hour because we were told the restaurant was short staffed. That was fine, but than we were seated and when we were done ordering, the waitress told us that she could not put our order in because they were short staffed and a table of sixteen just put an order in. We waited a long time before she could put our order in and to get our meals. The food finally came, but in all that time no one brought us utensils, so we waited as the food got cold. I told the manager, and her inappropriate response was that we were lucky because usually the wait time is two hours. My daughter’s meal had a dead fly in it. When my daughter told the same manager, the manager had no response. By the way, at the end, the waitress gave us the wrong receipt after I paid. I know the restaurant is very busy, so I don’t think the owner or management will care about our review. However, you should know what a horrible experience this was and how poor and inappropriate the service and treatment was, the complete lack of caring and empathy on the part of your staff and the health conditions involved with having a dead bug in a meal. You should be embarrassed. You now have six local residents that will never come to your restaurant again. Doug C.

Always a great meal, very nice staff. This is the Salmon Omelette and it was amazing!

This establishment has a good variety of foods to choose from. It’s good quality staple foods fit for a variety of palates. Something for everyone. The staff running the front door & bar should reflect on how they treat patrons entering into the establishment. Just because you may feel like your busy doesn’t mean you can be short w/ people or make others feel uncomfortable when trying to be added to the waitlist or just getting something to drink while they wait.

Great food as always and fabulous service! My best friend and her family were visiting me and we went there for lunch Sat then Sun for brunch. Love it!

Cafe Strudel is a must go! The omelette are delicious, employees kind, the atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. I had the chicken biscuit with fried egg and sausage gravy…..absolutely perfect!

The steak in the steak salad was delicious. Nice ambiance. Full house for lunch but was seated promptly.
