Food was alright, I had the shrimp and grits, which was interesting with its bloody Mary cream sauce. However, the grits (and only the grits) were stone cold, and I don't understand how a place serves breakfast all Sunday yet serves grits cold. It's a busy location, so I expected it to be noisy, but the tables are so close together that I had servers bumping into the back of my chair everytime they needed to get past. The location is decorated nicely, but it was very hard to enjoy it with service constantly squeezing by and bumping into us.

It is with a heavy heart and an empty stomach that I recount my recent visit to this dining establishment. My family and I made the grave mistake of showing up without a reservation, only to be greeted with a dry and uninspired welcome by the hostess. Her initial greeting was followed by a 20-30 minute wait disclaimer, which we begrudgingly accepted.
Despite providing our contact information and patiently waiting on the bench, which was conveniently placed within earshot of the hostess's excessively large table, we were left waiting for an excruciating 40 minutes. To add insult to injury, we watched as unreserved parties waltzed in and were given wait times, only to squirm and subsequently leave. It became clear that the hostess and her presumed assistant were preoccupied with their own chit-chat and oblivious to our presence.
After seeking out the presumed assistant, we were asked if we had a reservation, which we had already clarified with the original hostess. It was only then that they seemed to realize our existence and hastily offered to seat us after one more table. But it was too little, too late.
It's a shame that this establishment lost out on potential customers due to their disorganized and unprofessional approach to customer service. In the end, we took our business to a direct competitor who was more than happy to seat us immediately and provide us with the service we deserved. Perhaps this establishment could learn a thing or two from their more hospitable competitors.

Googled for a dog friendly restaurant, and we could not have been happier. The food was delicious. We couldn't decide what to get because the menu is extensive. Setteled on shrimp tacos and brisket tacos, and they were awesome!Staff was super friendly. Outdoor patio has a Zen ambiance. And, next door is an awesome antique mall (lots of vendors and a variety of stuff) that is also dog friendly.

Had shrimp & grits. 8 medium shrimps, creamy grits, onions & bell pepper. Some kind of tomato based sauce. I had that on the side. I didn't like the way it tasted.

We have been trying to go here for 4 years but it just never worked out. Finally we decided to show up 30 minutes before opening and are glad we did. Service was friendly and fast. Food was excellent. I had the hangover hash browns. Perfectly done. No one at our table had anything but a great experience.

Kind of dirty, and at least one ceiling tile was ready to drop down onto people's heads. Sat for around 10 mins before having contact with a server. Food was pretty great, though some items (imo) are overpriced. Overall 3-4 ☆ for ambiance, service and food.

Be prepared to wait on the weekends.
This place is busy for a reason!
I recommend Hangover Hashbrowns. I get almost everytime I come here.
I took my mother here once and she loved her brisket hashbrowns and has been telling people a out this place ever since. 😆
They have a coffee bar meaning you get up and make your coffe from 4 different choice of coffee blends.
The service is friendly. Food was cooked perfect!
Also I got the banana fosters latte and it was delicious.
Its just one of those places where everything on the menu sounds good and its difficult to make a choice.

Why call it a cafe, with a pastry display right up front, if you are going to treat people wanting coffee-to-go like aliens that fell from outer space. Also $3.50 for a meh small coffee that I have to get myself? Too expensive and weird atmosphere if you are not from around here. Bathroom was good enough for two stars if you need it.

Cafe Strudel is a hidden gem in the West Columbia area. The menu is filled with various southern breakfast staples along with filling dinner selections. This place has a great bar with a laid-back feel for its patrons. I will definitely be visiting this establishment again.

Went for lunch and were so glad we did. Love the different varieties and portion size. Waiter was very patient with us and gave awesome recommendations.
